Quarantine

Sherri the Writer

A quarantine reveals dark secrets in a small town.

Caitlyn thought it was just another Friday in the small town of Central, SC until a quarantine closed their doors. As the day passes she and three co-workers find that this quarantine is hiding dark secrets. An infection might not be their only worry - and the four of them might not be the only people in the office! Note: This is one of my early works.

Quarantine is an engrossing thriller full of twists and turns. The claustrophobia of mistrust between work colleagues permeates through every page. Background information regarding the discovery of falsified accounts was expertly done and completely held my attention. Tampering with invoices on back orders was made very believable. Then when the guilty party started banging away with her pop gun I nearly fell off my chair.

Immensely enjoyable and backed with pleasure.

It always amazes me how everyone taste is different and some enjoy a story and some don't and some find things wrong and some don't. My point is I think this a great story and I don't see anything wrong with it. I think you have something going here. I see a good book here and think it could be something really strong. Good luck with this. I'm going to keep it on my list to read some more.

It's quite difficult to get in to, as the first chapter is mainly scene-setting (to me, anyway), but after that it's really good. One thing I'll recommend- lose the exclamation mark in the pitch.

It took me a little while to get to this book, and I'm really glad now that I did. There are some really good scenes in this, and I think that the characters are very strong and believable.

I do think that the story could have been stretched out further; perhaps with some foreshadowing of the twists? Just something to think about - but I really did enjoy the idea, and I thought you did some really great work on it

Hi Sherri!

A chick-lit thriller - I'm loving this!!! I absolutely would buy this from your pitch alone. Love the first chapter and how it sets up the intrigue for the rest of the book.

Is your book really complete at just under 20M words, or have you just posted a portion? Anyway, this is good, and I'm happy to back it!
