IN THE NAME OF CAIN

GEOFFREY ROBSON

QUESTION: Creation vs. Evolution ANSWER: In The Name Of Cain

Creation vs. evolution. The reader will be satisfied no matter which side holds their faith. . Jim is the minister of a small town. Events bring Jim to confront the Beast who calls itself "I ONLY". The discussion that follows takes the reader all the way back to existence's first breath. To prove that God is nothing more than a dream that cannot come true, I ONLY tells Jim three stories; that can make even pure evil cringe in a corner. The first story, Aldom sends his two sons to kill Vlad III, who lives up to his name "The Impaler". The second story, Young Mikhail wants only to be a survivor; however his dream never comes true. In the third story, I ONLY remembers the best of times, when it feasted in the Ukraine during the Harvest Of Sorrow. Jim asks I ONLY were you not there with Abraham and his favorite son? Did you not walk with Moses to the Promise Land? How could you not see? I ONLY defend its actions by answering Jim's questions with its own interpretations of these events. In this trial of life, the facts are there for all to see. .

Has another week gone by? Well, the weekend is upon us. What a great time to grab a cup of ice tea, comfy chair, and help us noobies get noticed by reading our work. If you are interested in this, please pick a book and let me know what you think. I would appreciate all comments and help . . . blessings, Pam

Remind me never to go drinking then walk through the bayou. What a sight to behold, evil in it's living form. That in itself would be enough to stop the heart. Make one feel there was no way to concur something so vile. This piece has lots of potential, Kind of reminds me of This Present Darkness. I think that book did rather well. On my shelf. C.P

Wow, this is some story. First we have the chilling Monster opening, then a nice and fluffy introduction of Jim and Cindy at the Church of the Gate to Forever (great name). Then I skipped ahead to chapter 10, oh my, there's a bloody scene. Yikes, that Beast is bad news. Probably shouldn't be reading this right before bedtime. The writing is very good and the story draws the reader along nicely. If you get into editing, you might consider focusing the point of view. In chapter 10 Jim, Cindy and the Beast all have the POV in the same scene. If you can write the scene through the eyes of just one character (even the Beast) then the reader can climb into that body and become a part of the story. It's a technique for making a chilling story even more chilling. Anyway, what I read was excellent writing. Good luck with the book.

I absolutely love this. The pitch drew me in and the opening is quite incredible with excellent descriptions which make me feel as though I am actually there. I didn't get very far and wanted to stop and back it I like your writing so much. Excellent, shelved immediately.
