Real Wild One

Caz Frear

A cheeky peek into the London swinging scene and a frank exploration of sexual politics within an open relationship and between friends....

Siobhan and Aiden Costello have a ferociously hot sex life - regular, filthy, experimental and shared with countless strangers in a whirl of sex clubs and swingers parties. For 6 years they’ve pushed every boundary but now Siobhan wants out of the scene. She wants monogamy and monotony. She’s tired of being sexy and frankly, she’s tired of sex. But Aiden’s got other ideas..... Facing stalemate but with a desire to make the marriage work, an agreement is reached allowing Aiden to continue to ‘play’ outside the marital bed while Siobhan pursues other interests. However it’s an agreement that’s as naive as it is brave and the cracks quickly start to appear as they both begin to get their kicks elsewhere. With Siobhan determined not to share her body with anyone other than her husband, can she stop herself sharing her heart when Camden Market trader and aspiring mixologist Jonesy bursts onto the scene......?

This had me laughing out loud. Your opening few paragraphs were hilarious and I was waiting for the moment it would go down hill...but it didn't. This is a commute to work/airport read and I think it would do well in that market, although it may make a few people blush if someone catches them reading over their shoulder!

Backed and rated, no problem!

I'd be very grateful if you could take a look at my novel and offer constructive criticism where necessary.

Many thanks,

Hi,

I backed your book several days ago, and would be happy to leave you a detailed comment if you would have a look at mine and give me your honest opinion of it.
Good luck.

Real Wild One certainly lives up to its title, and you write vividly with a thread of wry humour that I really appreciated. This is not my genre so I can't offer you any advice, though my guess is you don't need it anyway - your target audience should be queuing up for this one. Backed.

Hi Caz,
What a fun read - shelved

I can't crit chick lit, but I can enjoy it and I certainly enjoyed this. #1 is erotically funny and #2 inevitable. Love it

I don't normally read chick lit, but this I would read. It is in your face, out there writing that is honest, real and above everything, real. You had laugh out loud lines that had me going right from the get go and to be honest that is what won me over. The humor is delightful. The MC's voice is strong and confident, but above everything else, I don't find her whiny or annoying, I certainly hope she stays lile that throughout.
Regardless you have a romping novel here, I only read the first chapter but I and positive you remain strong throughout the remaining ones you have posted. This is some great stuff which would go down a storm in the chick litty market.
Backed.

Real Wild One

Hi Caz,

This is brilliant, she is brilliant, self-obsessed, actually sex-obsessed, a well drawn character with a great witty turn of phrase. Your descriptions are inventive, you get that lust-yearn thing spot on, particularly phrases that refer to waking up in the night with it churning your stomach in the way that perhaps a curry might. You have a great female heroine here and you write strongly in her voice.

The premise and the pitch mean that this book is easy to engage with and I would stick my neck out here and say you have got a marketable book here that should be snapped up by someone in the industry. I will do all I can to promote and support this wonderful book.

Best wishes, deeply impressed

Erotic as hell and entertaining as all get-out. You capture the elation of a young woman so over-the-top entranced in love and lust that the reader just wants to go along with her. This takes real talent for character and for interpersonal action. Well done. Shelved.

This is a very interesting study of sex, swinging, monogamy, and monotony which provide dilemas common to most modern relaitonships. You cleverly show the difference between male and female views of swinging and 'open' reltionships, with the man wanting more and more, and the woman wanting, well, she 's not quite sure is she, and she can't quite separate lust from love, and that spoils everything for her man. Very clever.Very intuitive, very topical, and very publishable. Backed with pleasure. Best wishes, Tony.
