IRON WILL

OCTAVIUS PITT (PEN NAME FOR DAVE HOOKER)

There is a belief, before GAIA, that says the Earth is a living soul like us. This story tells how she influenced fascist ambitions

In 1588 Mother Earth comprehended that the most powerful human empire of the age was about to overrun a newly emerging one. Storms came at exactly the right moment to turn Sir Francis Drake’s brave venture into a rout for his enemy. He became one of England’s greatest heroes. In 1931 Mother Earth was once more aware of two great empires in the making. Benito Mussolini had spawned fascism. He feared Hitler might one day usurp him and become the absolute fascist leader to dominate the world. Mussolini needed an ally. This is the story of far-seeing men and women, including an English aristocrat, who attempt to stop Benito Mussolini spreading his fascist ideals to America, and of an unknown hidden ally, the will of Mother Earth. Look out for her intervention first, in small ways. She had used Sir Francis Drake’s brave defence of England to cleanse humankind from a fusion of British and Spanish empires. Almost three-hundred and fifty years later, she would once more intervene to ensure that a huge Nazi empire in the making would be split before it could bond. Her aim, to let human beings solve their own problems without a cull.

I did read it, and I liked it. I read everything I comment on or I wouldn't be able to give my opinion. I like the idea of a new genre.

Sound writing and a fascinating idea bringing together British aristocracy, Mussolini, sex, intrigue and Mother Earth's influence on humans. It's bound to go far.

Thanks Trish. I must confess that with a ranking to start with of three thousand something, I did not have the interest in authonomy's system of me backing the writings of other folk (three thousand of them?) to get the chance of a REAL HarperCollins revewer to read my work. You must have scan-read Iron Will quite well to pick these details up. Or did my blurb give this out? I forget. Thanks again, anyway. Iron Will remains un-published. It is the second in a trilogy. The first is THE DOORKEEPER which you can read in full on authonomy. Or see it on amazon.co.uk. Got some lovely reviews from people who have bought it. The trilogy tells of the Earth having a soul. She is a living, thinking being like us, but far greater. And we are screwing up her body like there's no tomorrow. And she knows it! And she's got ice ages, tsunamis and earthquakes in her arsenal. And we walk on blindfolded. The idea of the trilogy is to set up a NEW genre, like Mills & Boon but where the subject is about the Knights of Mother Earth and how they are trying to correct this mess. Any writer can submit any story to this new genre publisher, providing it conforms to some strict rules laid down by my trilogy. Unlike Mills & Boon using romance, my trilogy allow ANY storyline in principle. Currently a Chinese university press is showing interest, they have put me in touch with an agent - unknown to me as I write here, but I have dutifully filled in their form and emailed the book in word (the form to me emailed from the university). Yes. China. UK does not want to know. USA the same. Europe the same, although I didn't put too much time there, when I thought of the East. Perhaps their culture looks further than the end of its nose. I only dipped into authonomy because they emailed to say that I had received a comment. I don't dip very often. Thanks again

Dave

Dave, Iron Will is a great read. I like your story and I hope others find it as fascinating as I did. Best of luck to you. Backed.
