Come With Your Shades On!!

Joe Gotham

A dark and darkly funny black comedy following the adventures of a disparate group of people in the Netherlands in the days following 9/11.

A faded rock star,Dr Kosmoss, his blind companion, Christian, and a Nigerian King called Lord Ahmed go to the Netherlands in the wake of 9/11 to rescue a girl kidnapped by a porn star, Barny, his unhinged manager, Irn Blu and a one hit wonder, a rapper called Makaveli.

Meanwhile, a drug dealer called GSUS and his three pals, Stonehenge, the Maestro and Obi Rob Kenobi have to come up with ten thousand Guilders in three days to pay back the local big cheese, a psycho called LSD, or they're all dead.

Since Dr Kosmoss lost his memory in the WTC attacks, all he has to go on is a note telling him to go to the Netherlands and find a man called Bran Van Haappen. Christian comes to Amsterdam to rescue a girl he likes, only trouble is, he's blind. Dr Kosmoss and Christian agree to help each other on their respective quests.

I really like this, it has great one-liners and you demostrate a great, unique writing style.

Do you know any caregivers who might enjoy a book that I hope will encourage, uplift, and support those who take care of invalids, the sick, and the old? Please encourage the caregiver you know to register on authonomy.com and take a look at my book, Treading Water With God. I ask nothing in return. Peace, Veronica

This is so irreverant and out of control - how can you not love it - reminds me of Harlan Koben only better! BACKED with pleasure and bless you for having the entire book uploaded - i will return to this gem later!

Okay...The pitch pulled me in...as it is supposed to. The dialogue is excellent, although the narrative can be a little confusing...not what's being said...they way it's being said.

The word usage is such that an education and a thinking mind is narrating...obviously. A knowledge of history and literature also comes through, plus a working knowledge of french, so that the remainder of the narrative doesn't seem to gel...I did the same thing when I attempted my book...I was including the way I verbalised in the narrative.

Sure phrases in the form the narrator thinks in, but the abbreivations shake it up a little too much...I would leave those for the dialogue..there are enough clever bits and one -liners in this to fuel Chris Rock for a good hour of standup, and then some...I love your style and you have it by the truck full {Because this is a great and original concept {As all of yours have been thus far} i will back it on my next rotation on my shelf. You have a marvelous talent...I think it's going to take you all the way to the top.

Suzannah.
