Sunology- A Guide to Source Connection (Using Astrology's Amazing Sabian Sun Symbols)

Sharon Moore

Discover the magic of a new astrology that will change your view of yourself and your world. Sunology shines the light on your life.

A revolutionary new tool that modernizes the ancient wisdom of astrology, this basic teaching manual and reference book offers a new and better do-it-yourself system that keys in on the cycles of life. Now you can see yourself, your loved ones, and your life in a more detailed, accurate and effective way. • Have fun and gain insight when you discover your personal set of the synchronistic Sabian Sun symbols. • Learn how every event is mirrored in the steps of the archetypal cycle. • Discover images that you can use as focal points to enhance your life. • Realize your specific lessons along the path of life’s journey. • Learn to predict your own future, based on indicators of your life’s progress through the cycle. This simple system gives the world a new "sign" called the Sun Number. It is much more accurate than the astrology sign for showing the personality and the future. The layperson can easily find their personal Sun Number, based on their birthday. Sunology shows the astrologer an expanded astrology that offers thirty times the information previously shown in the astrology chart, as well as providing a better teaching approach to understanding astrology.

Sharon..this is a wonderful and original piece of writing. I have searched around and don't find any other publications dealing with Sunology so I would say you have a winner here. Is this something you developed yourself?
I bought a copy of the book actually and spent a few hours working out my ssn and I love my symbol!
I am going to back it. Thank you for your unique contribution to this fascinating subject.

Sharon,

Astrology is a subject I know little about so I was happy to come across your book, especially as it appears that you have come up with a revoluionary new approach to the subject. I find this insightful, provocative, an impressive endeavour really. I am a sceptic at best as far as the subject is concerned and I think of it perhaps as a pseudo-science, but while this may be a controversial topic for some, I like to think I have an open mind and am always open to new ideas, new information, new interpretations, new ways of looking at the world so I was happy to back this.

Best wishes,
Zan

This non-fiction book offers a new, fresh perspective to astrology, an alternative to the zodiac symbols and the meanings behind them. Your pitch is informative, but you might want to section it into chunks - see if you can separate those bullet points into different lines, ideally with a line of blank space between each, the difference in readability will be huge.

I liked the introduction to the book, the explanation of what you had posted. Even better, the addition of your website for further details - nice job. I'm interested in whether or not your website gets any traffic spikes while you are on Authonomy. I know I went there to take a look.

Inside the book - it seems very well written, nicely detailed and thought out. I'm not an expert in this field - MASSIVE underatement - so really cannot comment on content, but I was impressed with the amount of detail and explanation you provided - this seems like a very easy to follow tutorial for someone interested in finding their Sun Number and the relevant meaning behind it. I can tell you've done a great deal of research and laid it out well to make the reader buy into the methods of Sunology. It has a very clinical, scientific feel about it, which lends credibility. I found the history of the Sabians section fascinating, and a nice addition to the book.

I didn't find any problems or typos, and again, I'm not qualified to comment on the content. But overall, I definitely think there is a market for this piece. Great job - backed.

Interesting subject and very well-written. I am not a great believer in astrology (even though I had my chart done when I was younger!) but it's still interesting and as you state, Sunology is more exact and detailed. You have obviously studied it in depth, as well as its practical applications. I always try and look at things from both a scientific and a spiritual point of view. although having studied psychology that still has a major influence on how I interpret findings. I was definitely wearing this hat when I read about how the Sabian symbols were arrived at! Then again, not knowing what the symbols are (yet) there may be a connection with Jungian archetypes and universal symbols?
I live in a Totnes, a very alternative town where books on all manner of mystical subjects abound - this book would go down a treat. I'm sure you'll find a publisher.

What a novel concept... I googled 'sunology' and nothing as in depth or well written as this. Could be a niche market for you. You write with intelligence and understanding, and do not make what is obviously a complex subject difficult for a reader. Hope this continues to do well on site. All the best with this one Sharon (one of my favourite names!) L.x

Very enjoyable subject, although it seems awfully complicated. I can see why people would need to buy the book and keep it as a reference manual. Backed.

I know nothing about astrology and before reading this book, nothing about Sun Numbers. I found it very interesting only at 80 I find it a bit complicated for me. I have no doubt about everything you say is true but I think I would need, because of my age, someone to tell me what to do. However, I am backing the book because as others have said, this is the only book of the subject I have found. Perhaps you could take a look at my book, Three Stayed Home a WW2 novel. Best of luck with your book, I shall watch it goto the top. JohnJ

Sharon it is such a shame that the entire thing (with diagrams) can't be uploaded here. It's almost frustrating reading and popping over to your web page. This reminds me so much of Quabbalah. This takes me way back to doing my own chart (a long time ago in my teens). I feel lost without an ephemeris doing this. And wanted to ask you if this in any way correlates to rising signs. Also I know that most Natal charts work in retrograde as the life progresses, does this work the same way? because it appears not, from what I can glean.

I commend you, well done. This is original and definitely fun. Have you tried submitting it to llewellyn?

Poppet.....I put some thoughts regarding your comments into a thread on Shameless Plugs called On Sunology and Astrology, if you wish to respond there it can be a quick resource for other people as well. Thank you!

This is a well written, interesting book with a different slant on astrology. It's interesting to read the history of the Sabians. You pull your ideas together well, and present us with a readable and informative piece of work.

Thank you Natalie. It is quite different from numerology, as you will see better when you read the book (that is, if you know numerology!)

Hi Sharon, Can Sunology convert an asolute sceptic.

Eric,

I think so! Why don't you send my your birthdate, time and place and let me astound you :-). I think astrology has a long history of being explain improperly. Through my meditations, my understanding of how it works is as follows: Astrology is attempting to define the paradigm that we, in the western culture, live within. It seeks to reflect the natural progression of steps within a cycle. Then, depending on when a person is born, he falls into position within those cycles and, strangely, manifests the energy attributed to that placement. We are not influenced by the planets; we are part of the cycle.

The degrees are really cycles within cycles. But the thing about them is that they are oriented towards the day, not the month. This is a much more specific orientation and in fact, seems to work very well (BETTER) in defining the personality, whereas the sign is better at reflecting the higher approach someone has.

Studying and practicing astrology is the only fool-proof way to overcome skepticism. I was a huge skeptic before I began studying it in 1990. My parents never believed in it and raised their children the same. The more I worked with it, the more I was intrigued. It took me 5 years to overcome my skepticism, even while working with it.

Come on now, send the data. I want your backing!

Hi Sharon, Can Sunology convert an asolute sceptic. If it can it must be good. Too early to say with confidence yet but I am trying to understand. At least it's different and it is very well explained. Not backed yet because I refuse to be drawn into the "back anything" culture that seems to thrive. All the more satisfying for you if I do eventually give it my backing. - you will know that I mean it. Best of luck with this anyhow even if I do decide to remain a disbeliever. It's no less wacky than my stuff and I believe everything that I write - well almost evrything.

Hi Sharon! I love astrology very much, and I read my horoscope every day. I think it is fascinating that you have developed your own system of astrology. You are very wise, and I hope you will do a reading for me one day. Perhaps you can tell me whether I will become famous like J.K. Rowling! ;-)
