Thy Fiefdom Comes

David KoChin

2000 years after cloning ignites the Apocalypse, humanoids, dinosaurs and humans battle for survival. Raf’s vows are tested when he finds love in the chaos.

Now on Kindle. http://www.amazon.com/Thy-Fiefdom-Comes-ebook/dp/B007ULHCDK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334651473&sr=8-1
Forgive me.
Scientists have cloned humanoid prize-fighters, and 4-foot-tall sweat-shop workers...using my technology.
But terrorists are breeding suicide soldiers by the thousands. They’ve bombed everything. Even my dinosaur park. The T’rexes have escaped.
What have I caused? Another Dark Age...?
.

..Two-thousand years later, humanoids battle with sword and shield against surviving human fiefdoms. Wingless Mad Dragons (WMDs) roam the tropical wastelands, ghosts haunt the ruins, and ‘magic’ comes from 21st century artefacts.

Seventeen-year-old Raf Kenne, a rickshaw-puller from the slums of JungKalif, is conscripted into a warlord’s army. With his band of slum-boy soldiers, Raf guards a convoy through the wastelands. But a humanoid army is in pursuit, seeking revenge for past atrocities.

Tormented in a love triangle with a settler’s daughter and a rival suitor, Raf must roam the ruins to find artefacts to sell, for he is desperate to raise his father’s ransom. Artefacts like FBI flak–jackets that make excellent armour, and solar powered juke-boxes that blare out rock music in the middle of a battle.

* Film rights have been optioned to Unison Pictures, Hollywood.

Hi

Sorry for being so quiet these past months…err years. I had some issues with my eyesight which required medical attention in the end. I will get back to you again shortly after my lengthy reading list on authonomy (as long its not R rated reading!)

Now that I am back on deck, I have managed to make Thy Fiefdom Comes an e-book on Kindle (and related Kindle apps on ipad etc).

Its really easy to do, and free - just follow the steps on Kindle Direct Publishing (google-able)

The link to my novel is below.

The first 2 chapters are in the ‘click to look inside’ link on the website

I hope to finish book 2 by end of this year. Regards Devotee

David: both pitches worked for me. Perfecting your pitches is how you climb in ranking to gather more exposure and comments to better your novel. The writing is good so I am SHELVING you.

Though I have been a very active member for over a year, I can still use your comments on my book when you get the chance. Every little bit helps. Cheers!

FIEFDOM
You’ve created a very imaginary world here with a little bit of everything: cloning, dinosaurs, a sympathetic main character . . . no wonder it’s been optioned for a film. Should allow you to sell copies now and even more when the film hits screens. I’ll add this to my shelf for support. Burgio (Grain of Salt).

Wow! This is great. I totally want to read the full version. I love a good sci fi and this is absolutely something I would read. You create a whole new apocalyptic world and you know it well. This is my genre and I'm glad to see someone who has mastered it so well. Hat's off to you! Backed full-heartedly!

This is very commercial stuff. I could see this being made into a film. I love the introduction too - such sorrow that set the scene brilliantly. I wish you every success with this. Backed, Sana

This is a fine example of fantasy at its best.
The short little prologue is so full of atmosphere and suspense I really get the feeling that there is a deep world behind it all. (Though I think T’rex should be T-Rex, just a nit-pick, but, hey, that’s what authonomy is for, right?)

The first chapter has a good pace to it. The only problem is, at times, you can cut your adjectives a little. He dialogue is neat, though I think a little more may be good for character building.
The dragons are an instant winner, in my books.

Best of luck to you with this!

David,

"The Fiefdom Comes" is one strange brew. Yet you make it work with solid writing and engaging characters. Backed.
If you get a chance, would you mind checking out my book, "The Wild, Wild Quest"? I always appreciate any and all comments/feedback I can get.

Best of luck,
