Song of Thunder

Keith Ellis

What if a brilliant young scientist invented a new computer that could hack into any other computer on earth? Who wouldn't kill for that?

What if a brilliant young scientist invented a new kind of computer that could hack into any other computer on earth? What if the government tried to kidnap her and steal it? What if terrorists got there first? If you love engaging characters, compelling action, and a climax that will take your breath away--again and again--then SONG OF THUNDER was written for you.

Hi Keith. Love it. I'm always a sucker for the undistinguished guy turning out to be the one that shines. As for the idea of a supercomputer, well it is a bit scary. The only thing is I suspect 'they' already have it. Great idea, Shelved,
Scott.

Hi Keith. Nice pitch. Short and to the point. I wouldn't repeat part of the short pitch in the long pitch, though. It's already said and just takes up space.
Kinda of a unique approach to this. Nice beginning. Writing is competent and easily read. Story development is good as far as I read (2 chapters). I think this is a very good effort. Should do well. On my shelf and the best of luck with it.

Song of Thunder:

Oh, Boy. After reading the first two paragraphs I’m not sure I want to read on. I do want to but you know what I mean... One of my biggest fears. Grandchild kidnap.
.
.
…he stared at the lifeless form and began to wail. – I’m now wearing a suit of goosebumbs.

O, thank heavens for the next line.

You sure know how to work our emotions, eh?

The last line, with the marshal asking the question? The reader, also, wants to know who Thunder is.

This is a book I’d want to hold in my hands.

All the best, and already backed.

Okay...I'm hooked. The pitch is good but it doesn't even begin to touch on how terrific the story is.

I haven't been this excited about a character since Tom Clancy gave us Jack Ryan. Thunder is larger than life...exactly as he should be. he does not come across as a smart-ass, he is too honest for that. The intrigue is excellent. The pace rapid-fire. The premise sticktly today's world. The writers voice is good...resisting the temptation to do any tongue in cheek superhero stuff...thank heavens.

I have backed this with absolute pleasure.
I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a thriller that really delivers the thrills...no holds barred.
Bravo.

Tense first chapter. Thunder is a great character. Loved his deductive reasoning. Good start to your book. Pleased to support your work.

Well, this is a novel, novel! Thunder as some sort of superhero needed by the President himself. You built up the suspense very well at the beginning and we felt for the grandad and the little girl. I can see why you have Thunder and the Marshal discussing finding the girl but I'm really undecided whether perhaps there is just a bit too much, too long, here? The rest of the story is also well written and, although I'm not a genre fan, I'm happy to shelve it for the quality of the writing, Carolyn.

We start with a lost girl and instant tension. And tension is what we want, no?
