Entering the Kingdom of God: How to Discern God's Voice

Kimberly Beam

God speaks and if we tune our ears to His pitch, we can discern what He is saying.

God's voice can get lost and be hard to discern. Entering the Kingdom of God is the path I have taken over the past ten years to discern God's voice for my life and for the lives of those around me. The journey for each believer is unique, but there are themes that run through the Bible and our lives. God uses hardship to tune our ears to His. He uses His Holy Spirit to teach us who He is and His passionate love for us. God never stops pursuing us. Discerning His will is sometimes bumpy and often without the colored blazes on the trees to show us which way to go. I have not always done the "right" things, haven't always heard Him correctly, and haven't always trusted myself to get it right. But, I have learned to trust God more, to walk in faith and to discern His voice for others. This book is the journey God has taken me on and the lessons He has taught me along the way.

I am interested in your book and am putting it on my watchlist. I will be reading parts of it as soon as I can. In that it is related to the Bible, it perhaps bears some similarity to my own book, which, if you are a Christian, potential Christian, or a thoughtful and objective skeptic in this regard, you might enjoy. Its title is "Things Are Not as They Seem."

Ah-ha, a Christian writer who seems to understand how to write a story; perhaps it is even a true story. I am sure it is true for the author. Maybe it is true for others This is not a preaching volume. So far as I have read, seems to be a narrative of how one person found meaning in Christ. A big improvement over much religious literature.

Is it all true, every bit of it? Or is she "speaking evangelistically"? I have no way to know. But then, that's how myth works. This book is worth at least taking a look at.

Kim: a lot of Christian novels on this site lately. The short pitch I can live with. The long pitch should be broken up so it reads faster. Perfecting your pitches is how you climb in ranking to gather more exposure and comments to better your novel. The writing is good so I am SHELVING you.

Though I have been a very active member for over a year, I can still use your comments on my book when you get the chance. Every little bit helps. Cheers!

This book is a step by step guide to better spiritual health. Your writing style is a plus; it's clear and you give good examples that make your points come alive. I’m adding this to my shelf. Burgio (Grain of Salt).

Beam,
I can't lie, this is not what I'm usually into reading, but honestly, I love it. Its not hard to understand, but it flows. It wasn't one of those stories where I had to stop reading because I was totally lost. Even though i am not religious, i could still connect, which i loved. I would most definitely buy this book off the shelfs. (:

Beam,
I really enjoyed what I have read. I am excited to read more. This particular book is not in my usual interest, but to much of my surprise i was really interested. Some of what you have said I was able to connect with. And I can understand the feeling of wanting to hear God. The book seems to flow; I didn't need to reread anything or overthink anything. I would love to see this book published.

Dear Kimberly, Your Forward, Introduction, Titles all make for a hook for me to read the rest of your book.I love that you have taken the time to write about seeking Jesus' face. May you write many more books on our Lord. Your book is a good read because you create interest by having short paragraphs & dialogue which makes me want to keep reading to find out what's going to happen next. I'm backing your book. :) Please take a moment to BACK my TWO Books, ... "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" ... and the UNEDITED version? ... "Tell Me True Love Stories"
Thanks, Susie :)

Thanks, Matt, for backing my 2 books. I'll put you on my watchlist to hopefully advance your book.
Love, Susie :)

Kimberly I really enjoyed this book. Your writing shows honesty about the character of God and about your walk with Him. Your faith is evident through your writing. I have backed your book. If you have an opportunity I hope you will take time to read my poems in Through the Storms and Beyond. You will see that I have the same faith and that I also will never give up on God.

The book is easy to read and has a progressive way in relating to us on how to discern God's voice as you read each chapter. I enjoyed reading it basically because it is composed of realism of life.....in a christians' prospective as each individual learns to hear God's voice. I am going to recommend this book to several others that I know
could use this book. It is hard for me to read books, but I do enjoy reading books about the how to's in our walk with God. This is one of those books.
