Well this is certainly different. I will be honest and say it’s probably not a book I would normally read out of choice but did truly enjoy some of the poems.I especially like Would you. I thought it was beautiful and simple.I imagine it must be very difficult to form a book from short stories and poems so I honestly applaud your efforts. I could see this as a pocket sized book but some illustration to highlight the power in the potery.Janny
Hi Emma, I've just finished chapter one, The Antique Pot.I really enjoyed being with you and Marie in the bath tub and the discovery of Eric and Blondey was well-written. You definitely came off best (excuse the pun)...Marie or Eric...no question. Most enjoyable. Backed with pleasure (literary kind),BarryLITTLE KRISNA AND THE BIHAR BOYS
For the first short story written by you the Genie is well done. I like your choice to use the first person narrative voice, your created an excellent character in Chlo, the dialogue is realistic and well written and the story is definitely erotic. I also like the ending. Backed with pleasure.Andrew BuransThe Reluctant Warrior: The Beginning
Hi Emma,I think it is so brave of you to put forward a book of poetry. Your short stories are amazing but I was grabbed by the exquisite prose .I look forward to reading more, please upload as soon as possible. Backed with pleasure.PhilDanny Murphy

I must applaud you. bravo! your writing is delightful as is your short story.BackedThe Date
The genie is one sexy story. I just had to read the whole thing. It took me a while, but here I am. I can tell this was your first story. The only thing that ruins it is the grammer mistakes like the lack of apostrophes, the spelling out numbers, and more on the list. Just go back and clean this up. This story has great potential to it, just keep working on it.
This book is brilliant. I have only read a little, but I shall indeed, be reading more. BACKED INDEEDHope you get the chance to peek inside The Russian Hat.warm wishesBrendan
Emma - I find My Life in Writing to be well-written, certainly needs some editing but that's easily fixed and nothing to worry about in the face of your way with words, especially in poetry. Keep writing! I do apologise for the delay in backing your book but my pc crashed and has only just been coaxed back to life! Balepy (Freckles the Fawn)
thank you stewart x
Wow...there's a real passion in your writing that separates this from a lot of other so-called erotica on this site...the typos and hiccups are easily fixed. What you've got is a fire in your belly and it comes through like a surge of heat from your writing...well done! Keep it up...if you need any further advice please askBest wishesStewart
oops about the typos im using my mothers laptop and im not used to the keypad
thank you for you're kind comments, although I do have my own opinion on this book. I think it is slightl disoganised and could be lad out better. Which is why Im working on improving it and turning it into a mini autobiography and including my poems in it.
MY LIFE IN WRITINGThis is an interesting collection of a short story and poems. I’m not the best judge of poetry but I think you have a real knack for expressing longing and loneliness by your poems. I particularly liked “I’d like to be somebody else” – you capture a common feeling that almost everyone experiences at some time. Also “Child through the window” that follows that. It’s simple, yet thoughtful. I’m adding this to my shelf. Burgio (Grain of Salt).
