Give That Atheist a High Five: five arguments for God's existence sure to make atheists squirm

Randall Stewart

If God exists and we deny Him, we are fools. But what should we call ourselves if we never bother to ask the question?

Have you ever wondered if there really is a God? Has your faith been the target of arrows flung its way by science and philosophy? Do you long for objective reasons to believe?

If the anwer is "yes," then you are not alone. Sitting beside you on the plane, standing behind you at the supermarket, and (as strange as it may seem) singing along with you in your local church are people just like you. Too embarrassed to ask for help, they do not know where to turn for answers. Their silent prayer is the same one spoken aloud to Jesus years ago: "I believe! Help, thou, my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24)

In this book, Randall Stewart invites you to join him on a sixty-day journey up the slope of God's existence. With refreshing candor, he reveals his personal history of doubt. Then he retraces for you his steps back to faith. Along the way, he uses a diverse medical and religious background to present some old concepts in fresh and understandable light. Written with the non-theologian in mind, this is a must read for anyone with questions or anyone needing to give an answer.

Simply Excellent! I will have to get a copy of this book to use as a weapon against doubt. As a youth pastor, I am constantly approached by young people who are challenged by their beliefs. Backed!

I don't think there's ever a chance I'll believe in God. So with that close minded point of view, you'd think I would not want to back your book. But I found it to be well written, persuasive, and passionate. What more could I ask for? Nicely done!

Would you consider backing MEMORIES OF GLORY? I thank you for taking a look.

Hi Randall! Of course, I was tempted by your challenge -- I haven't squirmed in a long time, so I'm here to see if your arguments are any good ;) But first, you have to go through the Cheesecake Meter!

Cheesecake Rating: 1.5 (from 1-10, 1 being the highest)
Clean, accessible writing. I've always hated those who use ridiculously long, convoluted sentences, as if big words and complex structure equals a stronger argument. But no, your ideas are clear and precise, and readers can easily follow your reasoning. Your language shows your intelligence, which lends credence to your arguments. I find your tone condescending, but maybe that's just because I'm an atheist -- I'm sure the religious wouldn't feel that way ;)
Great writing -- good luck with this!

**I realized that if I commented here on your context, this review would be super long! So I'll just message you. I'm always up for a good debate ;)

ATHEIST HIGH FIVE
This is a thought provoking book. It’s written in an easy to read style; a mark of it is the author’s strong belief and sincerity of purpose which shows through on every page. I’m sure you’ll find an audience for this of people who are looking for the assurances discussed here. I’m adding this to my shelf. Burgio (Grain of Salt).

Life after death! Does anyone really believe this? We are here for a season just as the leaves from the trees die, fall and fertilise the ground for the sustaining of the tree, we also contribute to the growth of nature after death. This place believers call heaven (or hell if a believer can consider it as a destiny) must be overpopulated. Humans from thousands of years still crowding some place. Doing what?
Religions are mythologies and my favorite is the Greek Mythology, and lets face it the christian religion has taken stories from the scriptures of the ancient Greeks.
Religion-have it if you need it.
Having said all that, your book (part biography) is well written. I will back it and hope that you will look at Flawless Murder.
Kind regards
David

Welcome aboard, Randall. This website will improve your writing craft, if you allow it. I'm a bit of a pitch doctor, having read thousands of pitches in my time on this website, so I want to share my insight here with you. You have to think of your pitches as your sales tool to grab the casual reader's eyes. Because this is non-fiction Christian instructional, both pitches work. Perfecting your pitches is how you climb in ranking to gather more exposure and comments to better your novel. The writing is good so I am SHELVING you.

Though I have been a very active member for over a year and have the most commented book on the website, I can still use your comments on my book when you get the chance. Every little bit helps. Cheers!

Dear Randall,
Congrats on a well crafted read. Your pitch short and long really grabs a reader, and it grabbed me for sure. This is an informative read and cannot but give the reader much food for thought. I do like the way you have set it all out, and I have not read it all but will carry on. I would love you to read my work and comment on my pitch and talent.
BACKED for sure by me
I do hope you review my book, please comment ( this assists me in honing my skill) and if you feel, back it.
Thanks and BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR BOOK

Dear Randall, I love that you have endeavored to step by step lay out the foundation of believing that the Bible is true - "heaven & earth will pass away, but My Word will never pass away" - He made the heaven & the earth & everything that is in it. Romans 1 & several old & new testament passages say. Your pitch, table of contents, forward, & introduction are excellent, so set the hook for me to read your book. :) You quotes of scriptures & C S Lewis, etc are great, incuding your endnotes & challenge just to believe God. God bless you for writing your book - may you write many more. :) When you use short paragraphs (you may want to cut larger ones in 2 for us who have short attention spans & tend to miss the middles), it makes me want to keep reading to find out what you will be saying next. I'm backing your book. :) Could you please take a moment to back my TWO memoir books? Thanks. :) Love, Susie :)

This is information from authonomy (so beware of any other untrue information you may receive that is spam & not quotes of authonomy):
"When you back a book, it only improves the ranking of that book, not yours. However, the author whose book you are backing may decide to back your book also, in which case yes, your ranking would be improved"
"Every time you place a book on your bookshelf, your recommendation pushes the book up the rankings. And while that book sits on your bookshelf, your reputation as a talent spotter increases depending on how well that book performs."
