Archimegadon - Mage for Hire

Jason Kenyon

Incompetent Mage for Hire Ardon Forseld and his useless companions run into some trouble when he takes on a job from a corrupt client.

Archimegadon, formerly the handyman Ardon Forseld, only knows how to cast flamebolts and even then not very well. In spite of this, he has made a good business as a Mage for Hire through tricky, deceit and leeching off real heroes. However, when he takes on a job from a corrupt client he runs into more trouble than he bargained for. Accompanied by Neurion, an untrained and somewhat weedy paladin, and Obdo, a rude farmhand, the mage is forced to use his unique talents (or lack thereof) to somehow prevail without anyone else to hide behind.

ARISE, AUTHONOMY GHOST!

Ease those weary, withered limbs from your coffin. Push away the stone from the mouth of the tomb.

You have one last task to perform. One last, sacred shelf to confer.

Whether you were plugger, spammer, gusher or troll, whether you flirted or fought in the forum or beavered away in the shadows, now is the time for your resurrection.

One last time. Marshall your strength, muster the last vestiges of your power and carry out your final Authonomy act:

Back my book, MIRROR IN THE SKY.

Then, only then, you may rest easy in your Authonomy grave.

Hi Jason,

The opening of this is very entertaining and I like the idea of a cowardly or incompetent wizard. I used to be into role-playing myself as a teenager and know exactly where you are coming from. I have added you to my bookshelf and will be back to continue reading.
