Love Ya Like a Sister

Tom Kepler

If you want something done right, do it yourself ... but does that include having three girlfriends at the same time and stealing a car?

It was simple: he loved Susie and liked his motorcycle. Even if he really liked his Triumph and only thought that he was pretty sure that he loved Susie, it was still the same difference. It was easy to know the difference, easy to think about. The words, though, didn't quite fit the situation. He knew how he would choose if he ever had to make a choice. He also knew that Susie would never forgive him.

Randy’s life was simple until one night at a poker game he helped Gwen, a senior girl, and her five-year-old sister. Then his girlfriend Susie dumped him, and Susie’s older sister helped him with his math homework, although Beth was more interested in biology. Then when Randy took Gwen to the winter formal, Susie decided to go with a friend of Randy’s who had a bad habit of telling all the juicy details.

What Randy needs is some advice and a plan about what to do if your parents are too busy, too divorced, too drunk, or too dead to help.

I am backing this book on the strength of the read which I found impressive enough to back. The problem is that while my Talent spotter ranking sank below one hundred I have been inundated with requests to read. If you require detailed comments please message me otherwise I was proud to back you and will watch with interest. Cheers for now. BACKED.

Hi Tom
This is a perfect story for the age group. Teen angst, adventures with the opposite sex and some fun along the way. This reminds me a little of 'Dazed and Confused', don't know if you know that film, but I loved it and it reminds me of my youth (even though mine was never that eventful). Great stuff.

I like your sense of humor and the witty writing. This book will do very well with young women. Nice!

Would you consider backing MEMORIES OF GLORY? I thank you for taking a look. My book is about a young girl, considerably more serious than your MC. Maybe you'll like her, as she fantasizes about getting a boyfriend. Maybe Robin Hood? Maybe King Arthur?

This is great! It's just one of those fun books you can devour in an afternoon. Hands down, I'd buy this. You've got the dialogue nailed, it reads very naturally. It kind of reminded me of one of those great high school movies, that happen all in one night, with lots of adventures along the way. Anyway, I loved this, I honestly couldn't find any fault in it, I want to read more!

Hi Tom! Just dropping a little comment -- your dialogue is wonderful ;) Seriously, I think I would be happy just reading that and nothing else. I'm not sure about the YA label, because of the story's pace (slower than most YA, though I don't find that a problem) but the writing is great! Backed!!

Dear Tom
What a book cover and one that not many would be able to pass in the store and ignore.CONGRATS,. your short pitch jumped out at me and your long pitch would not let me go till i read. so I did. A suggestion for your long pitch would be to put in paras. This may be the first thing your publisher will read, and you will have one., and it may give the impression of being a little long when it is not. Only a suggestion and one that served me well. also I would not mention it if I did not think this book worth it
BACKED BY ME FOR SURE
I do hope you will review my book, comment and most of all BACK it. but either way the BEST of luck with yours

Dear Tom, I love your youth & his love - choices, choices, choices :) - I had this when I was 17 & chose the wrong one. This is your 2nd book that I'm backing :) - but you haven't back either of my 2 memoir books. Thanks. :) Love, Susie :)

This is information from authonomy (so beware of any other untrue information you may receive that is spam & not quotes of authonomy):
"When you back a book, it only improves the ranking of that book, not yours. However, the author whose book you are backing may decide to back your book also, in which case yes, your ranking would be improved"
"Every time you place a book on your bookshelf, your recommendation pushes the book up the rankings. And while that book sits on your bookshelf, your reputation as a talent spotter increases depending on how well that book performs."
