Ramblings of a Writing Fool

Pride James

A few short stories most to try and make you laugh.

I sometimes write just to pass the time, these are some of those ramblings.

I have never tried selling my stoies so the answer to your question is no, regards Pride

You dont seem to take youself to seriously which for me is the big attraction with your work. The title is perfect for what you have written and the varyed storylines are wonderful.

Can I ask, have you made much money with your work? It really is an inspiration. Backed

Condemned men with interests, great stuff. Barrett's weight problem--poor horse. Mrs. P -- great character name, short and/or descriptive, not too sure which? In a few words, the work is excellent. Backed

All the best with this

Backed Ramblings of a Writing Fool. Love these! Your first story almost sounds like something Hemmingway would write.

I've been known to be a writing fool sometimes myself. Backed

I can sympathize with your feelings of trepidation concerning grammar. From reading a couple of your stories, though, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Hell, the title of the collection itself is enough for a backing, but after reading "Angela's First Day" I knew there was more to back. It reads like an anxiety dream: you have to get there, but things just keep happening to make it impossible. The ending is superb. I've been there, done that. "Is there no escape?" No, just read. Backed.

Dear Pride,

Don’t mean to be prejudice, but I do like your short stories. Writings of a Rambling Fool, hmmm, sounds like the title I should have used.

Backed and all best wishes to you.

Some beautifully written material hidden away here. Delightfully observed, too, where observation is called for. Might be an idea to look for a more imaginative title. 'Ramblings' perhaps! (Your word, not mine.)

Best wishes Philip John

l'm sorry, l automatically back short stories, with a short review. however, yours stories are so short, l have managed to read a couple or your tales. and they were perfect; great style, and true to short story tradition. l have thought about writing a book of one sentance stories, such this, written by ERNEST HEMMINGWAY; 'baby shoes for sale, never used.'
you are on my watchlist...
try SEASONS...

Pride, I regret I only have time to read Rivals today. A wonderful example of the short story genre. You build the tension beautifully and the denouement is of course a wonderful twist.

I have backed the stories and wish you well.
