My daughter likes poems so I gave these to read and she was really knocked out - she liked your work. :)

I dipped in and out and commented on those poems which spoke most forcefully to me. Like quite a few well known poets, your work is typified by reiteration and rhyme, and that is what will draw many readers. My own tastes lie more with succinctness and rhythm, so those are what draw me...

An Average Life - I like everything about this, the message and the execution. You might play around with it a bit more to clip out the odd word here and there, e.g. start with 'Why live an average life?' and then perhaps trim a few repeats, 'You were born to change the future, to make a difference, to work your destiny, in the Age of Modern Man...'

Guardians of an Expanding Universe - almost seems written by a different person, and this poem is the one, so far, that would most prompt me to call you a Poet (with a capital P). When the words seem to come out of the universe rather than a pen or an opinion, it shows quite clearly. There's a tendency to try and make this rhyme, but it really doesn't need to. Trust the message, keep listening.

Eclipsing the Moment - this is the kind of whimsy to set a poet writing, and here you give it just the words it needs - no more, no less. Perfect.

This is awesome! Feeding the Flame was by far my favorite but these were all great. I read 5 chapters of them, I couldn't stop! Your introduction was really nice, talking about poetry, it set a tone for what is to come. I look for poetry to evoke emotions and yours certainly did. One of the better collections I've come across on here, I'm proud to say.

Dear Warren, I love all of your poems & read some of them to my husband :) - we both love poetry. :) It would be hard to choose one, but I really liked the one about "walk" - my husband said "Robin Hood," but it's hard to choose because they're all good. :) I've backed your book :) - I hope you will take a moment to back my 2 memoir books. :) I've backed both of yours. :) Thank you so very much. :) Love, Susie :)

Dear Denise,

Thank you for appreciating my pitch. I will definitely read, comment and back your book. I am really feeling quite inventive today with a lot of story ideas coming to me and I cannot wait to put the stories down. All the very best and have a great weekend.

Warren

Dear Warren

I loved your short and long pitch both really sell your book which they are meant too so CONGRATS, and love the way you write. Your ability with words to craft an orginal read is amazing. the characters have decided to take up permanent residence but i will insist they leave soom to go home. ha! I have to wonder on this site at the
creations that come from peoples heads and of course the immense talent of those like yourself to animate
such colorful characters. I truly wish I had half your talent.

BACKED BY ME FOR SURE.
Please take a moment to look, COMMENT which is important to me, and BACK my book. if not that is OK
also

The VERY best of luck to you

Hello Andrew,

Your collection of poems are a most enjoyable read. I agree with your, reading poems can be very therapeutic. I especially like "The Poetics of Jealousy" and the mesage which you convey. Backed with pleasure.

Hi Barry,

Thank you for your comments. I am Anglo-Indian and I can laugh at myself, I guess that is a sign of maturity. Limericks are nonsense verse and there can never be much reason in nonsense rhyme. I appreciate your note. All the best
Regards
Warren

Hi Warren, I enjoyed some of your naive poetry -- The Right Advice, In This Life and But.

I thought the Anglo Indian Limericks were childish and offensive to Anglo Indian people

Poetry is therapeutic but it can also be cruel.

Best wishes, Barry

HISTORY OF LONDON
I enjoyed reading this collection of poems. I especially like the way you write about everyday topics such as driving while drunk or the smile of a child. I’m happy to add it to my shelf. If you have a moment, would you look at mine (Grain of Salt)? I’m in 3rd place but only holding on by my teeth. Burgio
