Seasons

Allie Grace

Here are two short stories that explore the nuances of young love.

In Sunshine, Raelyn Summers finds a fortune in her misfortune. Crossing the path of young mechanic Gideon, Rae learns the trouble with misconceptions and pre-conceived notions. The Elf and the Angel brings together Gabe Angelino and the petulant Noel. They discover the scars of Christmas past, the surprises of Christmas present, and the potential of Christmases in the future.

Allie,

really liked the Sunshine story. It was like watching a movie in my mind. The detail fed into the text at just the right places kept my attention all of the way through. Very believable characters. Have backed the book.

A well crafted tale in which the characters are artfully depicted and the relationships suitably entwined...great stuff!

Read "The Elf and the Angel". I thought it was convincing with your characters jumping off the page almost. You set up the Christmas atmosphere nicely, making me long for a candy cane actually! Heartwarming story with a clever plot and all elements tied together beautifully. Gabe is really easy to warm to. Good luck with your collection.

Allie:
An enjoyable read that render the reader nostalgic - though not entirely so - for those old days of young love. Glad to have lived it, and more so to be done with it!
Best of luck with your book. BACKED.
Peace,

Hi Allie, I read both stories and really enjoyed them.
In Sunshine, I think you would be better calling her by her full name in the opening sentence rather than saying later, '...a very sheepish Raelyn Summers'.
I really liked the MC's and dialogue in both. Good writing.
Backed with pleasure,

I felt like Rae recently when I left my book bag on the subway. I was in a great hurry and had a suitcase with me, which distracted me. I suddenly remembered by other bag just as the doors were closing. "Why does this shit always happen to me?" is exactly what went through my mind at that moment. My situation turned out just fine since I reported that my bag was in the train and by the end of the day I was able to retrieve it. Your story appears to end up to be pretty good as well since she is able to get into the car and she is able to have an adventure in Sunshine. Nicely told. I enjoyed the classroom situation with the parallel stories. I'll try to read the other story when I get a little time. Backed for now.

Dear Allie

Just loved your short and long pitch both really sell your book which they are meant too so CONGRATS, and love the way you write. Your ability with words to craft an orginal read is amazing. the characters have decided to take up permanent residence but i will insist they leave soom to go home. ha! I have to wonder on this site at the
creations that come from peoples heads and of course the immense talent of those like yourself to animate
such colorful characters. I truly wish I had half your talent.

Please take a moment to look, COMMENT which is important to me, and BACK my book. if not that is OK
also

The VERY best of luck to you

BACKED BY ME FOR SURE.

Dear Allie, I love, "Sunshine" & enjoyed your wonderful romance. :) Your pitch prepared me for this short story & I'll always remember it. :) Tight dialogue & paragraphs moved it quickly & I hated when it ended. :) Hope you'll write a lot of stories. :) I've backed your book :) - could you please take a moment to back my memoir book? :) Thanks so very much. :) Love, Susie :)

"Every time you place a book on your bookshelf, your recommendation pushes the book up the rankings. And while that book sits on your bookshelf, your reputation as a talent spotter increases depending on how well that book performs."
