In Our Own Eyes

Laura Lueck

This is a vicious depiction of what life would be like the eyes of a serial killer.

The victims are in place where the world around them is so foreign that after adjusting their senses to adapt, still the rush of fear takes over. These poor victims are the murders of my book. In Our Own Eyes, is a strong taste of what it is like to be Klaudia, a lesbian serial killer on a trifling emotional battle to fulfillment of self. She will take people into a place which should spell horror, but portrays truth and love instead. She must show you just how human she is by doing the most inhuman things. She does these things for all serial killers, who did not have the chance to prove that they did have a meaning in life. It is often, the media who defines people as objects after their own judgment. In Our Own Eyes, Klaudia has readers flipping through each page, reading each letter of each word, just to find themselves, as they relate to most obscene, gruesome, and shocking characters. This is not a story of simple fear, but the fear you get when you find yourself loving those who commit acts of a disturbing manner. This is her story, in her own eyes.

Laura,

I have read chapter 1 and I am enthralled by the ghastliness of it. I truly believe, (as a writer of this genre) that you have to trawl the depths of your soul to find such depravity.
Good characterisation and well presented.
Needs some editing - punctuation, spelling, etc - but nothing that cannot be rectified.
On my watch list.

Phil - Danny Murphy.

LIfe takes us on may twist and turns, some just never find their way back into the light. From your profile, I can see you have been through many ordeals in your short lifetime. Your writing reflects your experiences, and the passion shines through for what you do. This is an intense journey into the dark world of someone who has lost their way. Intriguing, profound, and unusual. Backed. Eunice - The Temple Dancer.

It's quite challenging to find some kind of literary merit in this kind of writing. In fact, I think anyone who allows the dark side of their imagination a little free rein can match this...but who would want to? There's too much misery in the world as it is to want to indulge in this kind of sick flight of twisted fancy! Just my opinion...
Cheers

Dear Laura

just love your short pitch which really encouraged me to read on. your long pitch sold me your book. I have not read it all and certainly cannot comment with regard punctuation and grammar , i would not presume. but I know what I enjoy and I did your book so far. Over time I will carry on reading for sure. I will say that I like the feel that I am sitting with you and you are telling me the story, we all like that.
Please take a moment to look, COMMENT which is
important to me, and BACK my book. if not that is OK
also
The VERY best of luck to you

BACKED BY ME FOR SURE.

Dear Laura, I love that I'm not in this story :) - I'd be scared to death. :) Your pitch prepared me for my scary read & I kept being so thankful for not being there. :) I've backed your 2 books :) - could you please take a moment to back my memoir book? :) Thanks so very much. :) Love, Susie :)

This is information from authonomy (so beware of any other untrue information you may receive that is spam & not quotes of authonomy):
"When you back a book, it only improves the ranking of that book, not yours. However, the author whose book you are backing may decide to back your book also, in which case yes, your ranking would be improved"
"Every time you place a book on your bookshelf, your recommendation pushes the book up the rankings. And while that book sits on your bookshelf, your reputation as a talent spotter increases depending on how well that book performs."
