A certain point of view

Eddie Hall

Officially the UK's youngest grumpy old man

We’ve all sat in the pub and put the world to rights over a few pints. We’ve all got an opinion on important matters. We all agree that everyone else in the world is fundamentally stupid. Or is it just me?

Being a web designer, racing driver and generally grumpy individual, I have an opinion on most subject matters and would like to get on my soapbox and offer an explanation on subjects including:

Why going to school is bad for your education

Why being mugged is preferable to going to a nightclub

Why eating is damaging the environment

Why people who drive Nissan Micras should be banned

This collection of articles cover pretty much all subjects relating to current affairs and other subjects closer to my heart. They are guaranteed to either amuse or offend… either is fine by me.

Funny, definitely one for the columns or collection publications. The only thing I would say is, if you're going out clubbing in Essex, what do you expect?! And one critique, when you say on the first section about being too old to go out clubbing, how old is too old?
Other than that: cynical, grumpy rantings without resorting to too much swearing, definitely a plus. Backing this, with no ulterior motive other than it will be easy to read again when I need to laugh and realise my life could be worse!

Eddie - A certain point of view is certainly fluently written, not my subject either but it will attract many and the cover is brilliant in my opinion. Have backed you with stars and welcome to the authonomite world. Beware of spam requests to assist in the mad race to the editor'sdesk, ask for feedback and don't back unless it is worth it! Best wishes Balepy (Freckles the Fawn)

Well written and mildly amusing in a grumpy old man/Jeremy Clarkesman sort of way, but unless one is a reader of Motorsport World (which I'm not) I'd question what the draw is for your readers? It's not clear from the pitch or the chapters I've read. Possibly, not being a Jeremy Clarkesman fan or a bloke, I just don't get it.

What I've read of the text seems smooth and pretty flawless, but with regards to the opening sentence I would query whether it would be better to use “spat on” rather than "spit on"?
