Covenant of Shadows

Jack Hughes

The Holy Grail has been found. Now it must remain a secret.

In this sequel to Dawn of Shadows, Remy de Lusignan returns to Jerusalem. Left broken by the death of his beloved wife, Ayla, he hopes to regain his honour by protecting pilgrims as a Poor Knight of the Temple. His old friend and founder of the Templar order, Hugh de Payens, however, has other plans for him. For Remy de Lusignan, having already proved his honour and his courage, is needed elsewhere in the ranks of another military order. An order that, officially, does not exist.

Protected by the utmost secrecy, they are the Covenant Knights: an elite unit of "ghost-warriors" created to protect a devastating weapon that has remained hidden since the time of Solomon. A weapon of untold power that has attracted the attention of another mysterious organisation known only as Omega, who have been searching for the Grail for centuries.

And who will stop at nothing to obtain it...

This isn't a genre I often read, but I was drawn in immediately, both by the writing and the historical background. And it promises to be a damn good story.
Best of luck with it.

I read quite a bit of the first book (in another incarnation) and liked it but reading off a computer is tiring. This definitely lives up to a sequel. I'm impressed by your writing and you tell a good story.

Looking forward to owning both, at some point ;)

Highly starred and shelved when there's room.

You pitch really pulled me in - I love reading this genre! And the idea of writing historical fiction from the perspective of the knights templar to me seems really fresh and different. I was drawn in by your writing right away! I hope you do well with this. I would definitely be interested in picking this up at a bookstore!

Please, PLEASE get this finished! It's wonderful, so far. You have swept me into a period and place that I know very little about. Great read, so far.
