Hi John!I jumped straight into chapter two, because it dealt with spiders and I find them rather creepy. I also thought you might like some commentary on further chapters, since most people tend to dive right into the beginning. This is strangely fascinating work, John. It reminds me of a modern Edgar Allen Poe, which is a compliment! Your Hugo is layers of intrigue - you've drawn his personality and physical attributes well - very easy to visualize his appearance and character. Love it! Shelved.KimInvisible Justice
This made me laugh! Several times. And I'm not very easily entertained. Very well written - clear and simple, just as prose should be - and with a twist I just didn't see coming! I really, really enjoyed this and am going to put it on my bookshelf because I think it should be further up the lists. All the best - your style of writing is great and you have a unique voice.
What a disturbed child - then you get to the end of the first story and... well, let's not spoil it. A nice original short story - I could never write them!Shelved.Ed (Mutant Toe)
Hi John. How refreshing to have new scary stories to share. You could give Ms. JK Rowling a few pointers on her Beedle Bard book. Shelved. Good luck. Janet Marie
I liked this a lot at the start. Thought it was a bit hobbit like. Having read the other comments, I too was fooled by the genre. I still like it and will come back for more. I like your style of writing. David
well..as i started the words 'sweet and lovely' popped into my head. Soon fooled me didnt you!! Goodness me..horror fans will smile at this one. An original idea you have here and well written. Thank you for letting me read....never look at bunnies and elves in the same light again hah!!
Gotcha! (heeeee)Thanks for reading! :)

Looks different..have added to my list!
