Wow, your comment really blew me away. I'm so happy that you enjoyed what you read. Seriously, it means a lot to me. I'm encouraged to keep going and am thankful that you even took the time to read the first chapter when there are so many great writers and novels out there to choose from.
Thank you again for your comment it is greatly appreciated.

My thoughts as I was reading.
Great opening paragraph, very Raymond Chandler. I like Raymond Chandler I am going to read on.
“I don’t, I ask the right ones.” Great line!
Brilliant first chapter. You do dialogue great, reflecting how people actually talk rather than the Hollywood script version.
Okay I’ve read four chapters. I started this ready to comment, ready to critique (believe me I do critique – check my page for recent examples.) However I can find nothing to say about this. I just bloody loved it. I love hard boiled noir fiction, the Lew Archer series, Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler. So this was entirely my thing. I started reading and was so caught up in the story and your excellent writing that I have nothing to say to improve this. And that is the best comment of all!
On my shelf and I’ll be publicizing this in the forums.
