Malachi King

Underground aliens, human slaves. Only the Psionic can save them.

Nearly-mental Reynolds convinces John he's what everyone has been looking for: The Psionic. He can move things with his mind. John isn't willing to help until his wife is kidnapped by Men-in-Black and taken underground. He finally organizes a resistance of the recruits, with the help of Cybil, a young girl with powers of intuition. and they begin to fight against their alien captors.

When the U.S. military arrive, things get sticky.

John, Cybil, and Reynolds take out the military and the aliens in dramatic fashion, but not without casualties. Several recruits are killed in the mayhem, in bizarre and horrific ways. But, there's hope. The aliens are defeated and the Psionic and his friends still have their powers.

Jennifer Williams survives but her pregnancy is uncertain. Concerned for all of mankind, John decides to work with the government to prevent such an invasion from happening again. He has become an official Man-in-Black.

Really enjoyed your opening paragraphs and very, matter of fact style. Will be back for a longer read inbetween work shifts.
