The Kingdom of Words

Adina Pelle

Prisoner in a fantastic world of letters

People have many ways of trying and eventually failing to make a connection but a common literary universe is wonderful, because it is not subject to limitations, it is a free expression of the mind... The more rewarding and positive the impact on the intellect, literature becomes not only a divine drug but also a catalyst amongst people.

These are two stories written from the edge of reality. One literary reality and one impeded view on what's real and what's not, both done through the use of drugs, illegal in the Kingdom of Words story and doctor administered in the second story, Side Effects. Which one is more distorted?

I have just read your story "Kingdom of Words" and I enjoyed it very much. I particularly liked the imagery, such as the line "sat amongst his books spread like orphans". You definitely have a distinctive "voice".

I do have one tiny nitpick: you use the word "doze" and I think you mean to say "dose". Possibly "doze" is an acceptable alternative spelling, but I suggest you check it in a dictionary.

Good luck with your writing,
John Bayliss
