Dearest Daddy of Elation

Wendy Joy Brady..

Poetry is the most versatile of all literary forms,
allowing us the ability to say things that cannot be encompassed in prose.

The line between the truth and reality is blurry it’s as different as fact and fiction. Dante wrote poetry in a vernacular language, Wordsworth wrote in the language of the ordinary man. Whitman broke the ground in both subject matter and diction. The attempt of a great poet is to put the thoughts of a person freely, fully and truly on record, using a common language to cross the gap between self and others. These authors have mastered traditional poetry and short stories but are not subservient to it, just as democracy has ended the subservience of the individual. Comparing the works of Wendy Brady and these great authors I have observed that she is not only a master of traditional poetry but a master of untraditional and divine poetry. Enjoy what she has written; she's stands among the masters.

Hello Wendy:

I see your childlike heart and your childlike faith as you cry out to "Abba, Father!" and I am so moved by your passionate, intimate love for Him.

In terms of the presentation, the ALL CAPS is very, very distracting and I would imagine that many, if not most, would see the ALL CAPS text, be immediately overwhelmed, and move on without even reading your works. I would very strongly urge you to make two revisions.

First of all, for the benefit of many who may not understand who "DADDY" is, you may want to explain this to your readers. I would imagine that the majority have no clue. My understanding is that you are referring to God the Father, but then if I am wrong in this, that, too, ought to highlight the ambiguity of your poetry.

Second, I would very strongly recommend that you change the text to Upper/Lower case.

Keep practicing and keep writing!

Blessings.

James
