Pitch:
On an island where "Pilgrim's Progress" is shelved as a autobiography, a dangerous past lurks in the darkness, threatening the safety of those on the island and perhaps the entire world. Legends of monstrous snake-like creatures loom over the citizens of Haven Island as a mysterious red-skinned woman rises to power, claiming she may have a unique solution.

The compelling story is told through the eyes of a young hermit named Duncan "Stranger" Ross, who comes down from his hill after hearing about coming doom. Duncan learns to grow from a stranger to a friend, and from a friend to family. Finally, he fights for his life and those he grows to love.

This inspiring spiritual allegory explores salvation, friendship, grace, faith, and the danger trying to earn God's favor. The story is mixed with exciting adventure, mystery, and suspense. Great for young-adult and adults readers.
