Any Terry Brooks fans out there?

My cousin just recently won a contest to have his name in the next Terry Brooks book. So here is the email he got from Terry Brooks:


> After some considerable thought about how to use you in an upcoming book, I have decided to let you stay in character. Your character will be an officer in a military regiment whose role is substantial and life-altering to the plot of the book. I think you will be pleased with the result. But the book will not come out unti...l August of 2013, and Shawn (who runs my website) and I were wondering what we might do to draw attention to your winning the naming contest and to the work of WACAP.

Dwarfs as I recall. Lots of dwarfs and magic stuff. But hey, I used to read it... In fact I used to read Piers Anthony. Yeek.

I couldn't get into the Shannara books, but loved his Magic Kingdom for Sale/Sold! series.

I loved both. He was the first fantasy series I read WAY back in middle school.

I found the sword of Shannara series totally derivative and that put me off, but he is very popular.

I remember liking some demon books he wrote. Couldn't get into Shannara, it was a zillion pages long, printed on tissue paper and my attention span was too short at the time.
