It's great to see a genre (dare I be so generalist) usually written by women (though not predominently) handled so well by a man. It's good to see the City thriller make a bit of a comeback. It reminds me of Michael Ridpath (Free To Trade) from back in the mid 90s when he was edgy and new. Love, love, LOVE the Arthurian legends, and this tale took me right back to hiding during playtime break in the school library, devouring TH White and Malory. In parts it reminded me of Susan Cooper's "The Dark is Rising" sequence, which is not a bad thing. Shelved. view book
