about me

Shamelessly idealistic writer with aspirations for world literary domination!! ;)

Truthfully, I'm just a regular girl with a passion for writing and a dream to share myself and my experiences with people all over.

Don't be shy. I'm here to chat, to learn, to share and to become the best author I can be.

ABOUT CHOOSING LIFE:

I wrote Choosing Life between 2004 and 2007. It was a story that was always in me but I didn't know how to express it. When I sat down to type it out, I was amazed at how quickly the story poured out of me.

I am proud of this work as it is based on events and feelings from my own life but I realize it is in great need of revision and editing.

The book is finished at 93,000 words and thanks to some great advice from people on this site I am slowly editing it.

It is my mission to have this book published along with it's sequel (coming soon).

I know it is not ready at this moment but if there are any agents or publishers wishing to connect you can find me at farrahjphoenix@gmail.com.

NOTE TO ALL:

I appreciate all of the love, support and comments I am receiving. I will read your work if you have connected with me here but am a slow reader. I want to give each book the proper attention without faking a backing just to enlist a backing for myself. Please be patient with me. I will read your work.
Thank you!!! xoxoxo

Choosing Life

Farrah J Phoenix

Choosing Life depicts the psychological and physical struggles of a young woman regaining control of her life after a violent attack in her youth.

Ten years after a brutal attack, Abbey Dasan wakes up to her twenty-fifth birthday living in a luxurious apartment in the big city. She has an amazing career and the best friends a girl could find. Outwardly, Abbey is physically healed, happy and confident but beneath the surface is a girl struggling with the emotional scars from her past.

Free due to a mistrial, Abbey's attacker, Chris Davidson, has spent the last ten years living a quiet life. When Chris murders his four year old God-daughter, Abbey is forced to face the devil that shattered her world in an attempt to put him behind bars once and for all.

With the new trial looming, old feelings of insecurity, fear and uncertainty torment Abbey relentlessly. Her inner turmoil threatens to bury her in a dark world of depression and self loathing. Hope for survival soon surfaces with the reappearance of Brad Jenkins, the man who saved her life ten years earlier. Brad and Abbey quickly reconnect and romance blossoms.

Will Abbey be able to get passed her personal demons and allow herself the pleasures of life?

Hee hee hee I like this book a lot! Good for you for writing something so entertaining. Who knew the life of a gardener could be so exciting. The Simpson's Willy has nothing on Percy. Good work! view book

Hi Colin, I love the premise of this story. The pitch really made me want to get in to it. I think you write extremely well but I think I am losing a lot in translation. I think it is due to this that I found it hard reading the entire first chapter. Definitely not your fault. I just found my... view book
