about me

I was born the day after Christmas in 1982. I currently live in the Midwest with my wife, an excitable dog, and an overweight cat.

I tend to stick with Fantasy, YA, Satire, Mystery, and Sci-Fi stories (and any mix of those genres). I have a special place in my heart for good steampunk.

Just wanted to say congratulations! That's awesome that you made it to the editors' desk and I can honestly say that you deserve it. Good luck with your writing and I hope you go far. view book

I typically don't read military thrillers, but I watch them as movies (couldn't tell you why). However, I enjoyed this. The dialog is laid out well and the description is solid. From the first few chapters, it sounds like you've got a good story in there too. I'm backing it. view book

Very well written. I typically shy away from literary fiction as I prefer a faster pace, but the writing here was engaging enough to hold my attention. You employ quick pacing in the first two chapters and then get the reader settled in with the third chapter. Great stuff. I think someone else a... view book

I tend to shy away from memoirs, but this...I had to read this. Perhaps for no other reason than to remember that the world is a hard place. I hope this doesn't come across as haughty or snobbish, but it's a reminder to me for how blessed a life I've had. I love stories of hope in the face of the... view book
