about me
It might be said (rather truthfully I admit) that I have a short span of interest. By this I mean that I have had several careers in my getting-longer residence on this earth, and writing has brought them all together in a most satisfying way.
Coincidentally, it was what I really wanted to do in the first place, but I somehow got sidetracked by being an actor, singer, dancer, politician, and finally a professor of political science and law as well as history. Oh, and did I mention that I have a short span of interest?
Albeit, it is history that has most captivated my interest presently, and writing historical fiction has combined my first love with my last, i.e., writing a history lesson couched into what is hopefully an interesting story.
It is folk history that I am trying to recreate, and that is what true history is all about. The accomplishments of ordinary individuals who lived and loved, with or without religious and governmental approval, but who nevertheless contributed their talents and brawn to build the nations we all enjoy today.
My genre is mostly told from a gay perspective, not to lament the past beyond the telling of it, but to include my kind in it. With that thought in mind I’d gladly write a lesbian-oriented novel as well, but I think I should leave this to my talented sisters to do justice to it.
Anyway, that’s what I'm all about.
