My name is Mary. I read everything from romance to military sci-fi, but for me, it's not so much the genre as the characters. I have to be able to hear the voice of the character as I read. I can be reached at mmcdonald64 at gmail . com Or, friend me on Facebook. Mary LeMieux McDonald2/25/11-- I'm not that active here, but I do drop in now and then to read the forums. My first book was listed here over a year ago and was called The Right to Dream, then Shades of Gray. I published it as No Good Deed and it is doing quite well on Amazon. I recently uploaded the second book in the series. It is called March Into Hell, and can also be found on Amazon.
The Grapes of Wrath, The Clan of the Cave Bear Series, Roots, Morning Glory, The Pillars of the Earth, The Physician, and too many more to name.

Absence Fallacy--- The premise and pitch are good, and I like Terry as a character. I could easily follow him through a story. I do have some suggestions. There were quite a few adverbs. I'm not militant about deleting adverbs, but it wouldn't hurt for you to go through your manuscript and weed... view book
Brainrush-- Wow! I only read the first chapter so far, but I had to stop to back it and thought I'd add a quick comment. I have read hundreds of books on this site, many very well written, but this is one of the rare few that fits the criteria of what I would actually buy if I found it in a books... view book
Tabernacle-- Love the history in this. For me the story started to get more interesting when the focus narrows to the one family. I know you used the brooad pov in the very beginning to give the reader of glimpse of the normal life of the people of the village, and how the Cossack attack was goin... view book
I just read through the first two chapters and skimmed the third (I'm at work, but have to leave soon, so no time to read it thoroughly right now). While this isn't a genre I would tend to read, there's no doubt that you know your genre very well and the writing is true to it. It's been many years s... view book
