about me

Emerging writer with background in journalism and PR in both the US and UK.

Through my writing, I have discovered a preoccupation with life beyond death, not reincarnation, but a strong curiosity about an afterlife. What happens beyond the last heart beat?

While I'm in no hurry to find out what really happens, I do tend to follow some of my characters in one way or another to the great beyond, bringing in a subtle supernatural element.

In The Barrenness, my debut novel, Aunt Mamie speaks from the grave through her diary, which isn’t discovered until the novel’s midpoint (not posted here), but all the same I am told the diary is a lovely surprise, a jewel.

And I think the story leading up to it makes it worth the wait; happy to swap reads.

Barry, a real accomplishment in taking something dark and dingy and giving us a glimpse of light. Not saying it is pleasant, of course not, but it is the voice that counts here and command of narration. I imagine Little Krisna, having overcome and a place in life where he can reflect, tell us his v... view book

David, I don't know anything about football, but what strikes me about your novel is that I don't need to or have an interest to enjoy this read. I see themes here that I can relate to and think the prologue holds clever characterization, the key to getting me to read more. It could be worth ge... view book

Hi Tim, this is imaginative and well done; it takes skill to juggle all the voices in one head and keep the reader engaged. I agree with another reader in that I can envision a movie here, which I think it is a good thing. Though the conversation with self is done as a parody, it is something that t... view book

The topic of your novel , the study of the relationship between father and daughter, is intriguing, not in a disturbing way. I think this very touching union is so often overlooked. I have only read the first chapter and am really impressed with the characters and how they relate. In this type of st... view book
