about me

I have recently stopped coming here to read and edit, and to receive because it's proven a fruitless effort. Especially now that I get paid to do so. My first few chapters are the way I like them, and frankly how quite a few people like them. If you read further and have a genuine comment. Leave me a message, and I'll contact you about a return read and possible editing help. If not, don't bother.

I am a recent college graduate and have been writing and reading all of my life. I am currently working on several projects but mainly focusing on a fantasy novel, which I have been working on for a long time. I feel that I need help getting to an ending that isn't going to be cliche or boring.

I am not only here to read and to write, but I am here to help, get help, and practice. Other than wanting to be a published author, I want to teach English at a college level, and invent a new kind of course (One that combines reading for school, reading for fun, and creative writing) in the genres of horror, fantasy, science fiction, romance, and novel writing.

I would also like to add that I will read anything that I am asked to read. But I must warn everyone that I am a harsh critic, and honest. I will not back if I do not feel the book is worthy, nor will I back for a promise to be backed. I also do not expect to be backed by those I have put on my shelf. So if you are not feint hearted, leave me a message, and I will read your book!

P.S. Just got my foot in the door with a publishing company! At least for a job... Should start training soon to be a line editor! Wahoo!

Christopher Pike's The Last Vampire Series
Harry Potter
Justin Gustainis's Evil Ways (He was one of my professors and way too under appreciated)
Anything by Laurell K Hamilton
Eat Pray Love
The House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast
Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine
Once Dead, Twice Shy by Kim Harrison
The Uglies Series
Anything about Sheryllin Kenyon
Pretty much horror, fantasy, and sci fi. But I also enjoy young adult, and other genres when I stumble on something that is really well written with a good story.

I'm impressed. Your synopsis snatched me up like a mewing wet kitten. I found it eerie. My fiance will one day be in the same perdicament, i presume. MIT and everything. (* sigh * Yay for lovign crazy physisits.) But anyway, well done. backed. view book

I really liked your opening line. Your style is for the most part clean. I see that you were trying to create some kid of suspense with the opening line and then having the character in immediate danger at the end of the chapter, but there is a lot of back story dump through out the scene and it c... view book

Hi Helena, It took me a bit to get my bearings, but once I got there I was thoroughly impressed. I usually jump right into the stories without reading the blurb up top, so it's not your fault I was confused. This is an unusual story, and I'm glad it is. Your characterization is written well, a... view book

Pat, This was very pleasant. I really liked the amount of tension and how it was filtered through Rufus. This is a technique that isn't too often used, but should be used more. There is great subtly in the first chapter, especially with Rufus's drawing. There is some psychoanalysis possible t... view book

Nick, I read through chapter seven before my confusion wouldn't allow me to go any further. I'm not sure what the story is about exactly. What is important about the princess for this immortal man? What kind of world are we in? Whose story is this? There are three rotating perspectives happe... view book
