about me

I'm married with two kids, a cat, a dog and a career in advertising.

Other than spending time with my family, writing and reading are my absolute favorite things to do. I'm crazy about middle grade and YA books -- can't even remember the last time I read a "grown up" book.

I grew up in Colorado and now live in Texas where I hate the summers but love the winters.

Love this concept. On my watchlist. If you have a chance, check out Into the Faraway, a middle grade fantasy that you might like. Looking forward to reading!! view book

Wow, wow wow -- I read your ch 27 as you asked and honestly, don't know what i'd change. As a mother it was a difficult passage to read but your writing is emotional and tight. I can see why you're on the ed desk and will back you based solely on this. I will go back and read as well. Fantastic. view book

Thanks for backing and commenting on The Dragon Whistler. I do appreciate it! I am really not a reader of thrillers (esp of the espionage sort) so I am probably not the best to comment, but as far as the writing goes, you have a definite voice that comes through, so well done. He does "explain" a lo... view book

I really enjoyed this first chapter, I like Kate and feel drawn to her character -- I do feel like you could jump into it as the girls are getting on the bus. The whole bit with looking out the window and all the classroom stuff feels like more "telling" vs "showing" and I think you have more of a h... view book
