Expatriate meandering around the globe, always had a book in me, never had the drive to get it out of my head.I am not interested in hearing how good your book is, how high it is in the rankings, etc. Quite simply, you take decent time to read and critique my book, I will do the same to yours. You merely add my book to your bookshelf, I may reciprocate. Also please, don't pitch your book if you take the time to critique mine. The comment is for MY book, not yours. I WILL reciprocate any effort you make.I am likely to pick a random one or two chapters and see how the book feels to me, from that I would rather give an honest opinion than to just say something is good to appease the writer, after all the site is to help out us authors (to be?) and no one gains from being told something is good (or bad) if it isn't.Thoroughly enjoying writing my first book 'Table for One' The constructive criticism it's drawing is hugely helpful, I really want to word it as I picture it (I relive the places I am describing), Even if it doesn't sell its been a cathartic experience, if nothing else.Again, a deep gratitude to all those who have bothered taking the time to help me with this.Tabe for One is in its first draft, being edited and written as time and the ideas allowI can be contacted on jan_barraclough@hotmail.com

Bookstore read the prologue. Very well written, gripping and descriptive enough without being overtly so. It has the feel of a professionally written book, though I do wonder about the use of local dialect to garner effect. Other than that, an exceptional piece. Backed with pleasure. view book
Well written, projects Maddie's frustrations well. Maybe a little too cliche, the rebelling goth girl, but its written well enough. view book
Having previously backed this book, it was time to critique it. I am not all that interested in pirate tales, and this one obviously written for children misses me by quite some way. I can see and appreciate the amount of time spent in writing it, it is well written and fast paced enough that I co... view book
I bookstore read Ch1. I enjoy this genre, but I found myself put off with excessive detail and the useage of words such as 'dive' when the characters are about to enter an inn. If you are intent on building atmosphere, maybe it would be better to build it slower, or in a different way than the ove... view book
Bookstore read Ch1. What a wonderful surprise to find such a gem of a manuscript. I found it easy to read, read the whole chapter, didn't feel the need to browse or skip paragraphs. I liked the characterization of Mage and the gentle introduction to her abilities and her history. Brilliant stu... view book
