Green Messiah

Luke Andreski

The powerful story of a bipolar sufferer's involvement with the internet-based eco-religion New Creationism. A re-edited version of this sample is available via www.darkgreenbooks.com.

Marshal Anderson suffers from bipolar disorder. Graham Dean is a celebrity cult deprogrammer. New Creationism is an eco-religion sponsored by internet guru William Tarkovsky.

The novel Now We Are Green explores the boundaries between the personal and the political as Marshal is "deprogrammed" by Graham Dean from his early involvement with Scientology, only to immerse himself in New Creationism. But is New Creationism merely another cult or does it offer true salvation in the face of the eco-apocalypse?

Graham Dean infiltrates New Creationism in order to perform a second extraction of poor Marshal Anderson, but finds himself seduced by the eco-religion's unique combination of humanist and environmental concern.

Meanwhile, Marshal is setting his sights on becoming the new messiah...

Dear Joe Average, I have to say that I'm not actually too bothered about selling millions of copies - and, funnily enough, I'm not too concerned about being published by Harper Collins... Getting published by someone and selling just a few copies would be nice. And... I'm quite pleased to ... view book

Hi Joanna, Your comment and backing mean a great deal to me, particularly in light of your own experience. I'm personally only very mildly up-and-down, in a way that most people would probably view as fairly normal, so I've had to dig quite deep and fairly painfully to feel some of the feelings I... view book

Hi Jon, Thanks for giving it a try! Did you read through to Chapters 2 and 3? I'm using three different interleaved styles, one from more-or-less inside the head of bipolar Marshal, one for the more realistic world view of the cult deprogrammer Graham Dean, and one for Marshal's remembered childho... view book
