about me

Ta bring ya’s up ta speed, I’m no-longer thirty-four as I was when tha events in No Exit ta Bleak City took place. I am now a man o’ mature years - but still spritely, and rather good lookin’ fa ma age, even if I do say so maself. You will note if you read No Exit ta Bleak City, that humility is one o’ tha many crosses I’ve been forced ta bear.

Incidentally, if you enjoy/ed No Exit ta Bleak City, there is a follow-up entitled No Entry from Bleak City, which relates ma further mis-adventures, one o’ which was when I went ta Tibet and accidentally drank some monk’s urine - but anyway, that’s another story. I have not, however, posted that tome onta this site as yet, as I will see how ma first adventures tickle ya fancy – or whatever else ya like ta have tickled!

Ma whereabouts at this present moment must remain a secret however, fa I’m a wanted man, and am on tha run from tha Bleak City authorities, and various other characters o' dubious repute. Anyway, must dash, I thought I heard someone cockin’ a gun! But if you would like to contact me you can do so at the following address: jonny_sambuca@hotmail.com or on Facebook.

All tha best,
Jonny

No Exit ta Bleak City

Jonny Sambuca with C.J. West

A punked up, f*cked up 'exploitelligent’ classic for the 21st Century!

Crammed packed with crazy gangsters, psychotic criminals, nutty nuns, corrupt cops, over-sized rodents, sexy working girls, a Saucy Jacky admirer, a loony scientist, and a man-eating plant named Wyndham, here for the first time in print is the full saga behind the fall of the mightiest drug fuelled empire in the western world, and the reclamation of what some believe to be the very soul of humanity.

Social satire? Horror farce? Savage pitch black comedy? Violent, pornographic exploitation? Penetrating study of human choice between good and evil? No Exit ta Bleak City is all these - and more!

Reading comments such as this one is the reason one takes pen to paper, or, indeed, in this day and age, finger(s) to keyboard. I can't tell you how elated I felt when I read your intelligent and head-swelling comments. I only hope that I can draw on inner strengths and return equally insightful com... view book

What a fabulous and intelligent comment. Thanks very much. Hopefully I will be able to return in kind. Cheers, Jonny view book

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. As to Jonny and his misogynistic attitude, part of an on running gag, if you will, is that Jonny constantly has dealings with women ie: he is in business with The Order of the Severed Artery, who are a group of nuns who do assassinations and run drugs etc. ... view book

This has obviously got a green arrow for a reason. This is nice literary writing of what appears to me to be a high quality. I don't think the style of your 2 x pitches do the book justice. The pitches make it out to be some sort of Tom Sharpe style book when it really isn't as it is more Woodehouse... view book

First off I need to say this isn’t the sort of book I would read by choice as I have no affinity for this genre which I think has been done to death. Having said that though, I can tell from the pitch that to me Deshay of the Woods seems to be original enough to stand out from the crowd and of cours... view book
