What if the First Lady, the wife of the President of the United States became seriously depressed and could not seek help? How would it be for a woman who has had to sublimate all her personal desires in order for her husband to rise politically? What if she lost all her privacy, had no one to confide in, and was trapped in a marriage and situation from which there seemed no escape?
It is also the story of the psychologist who is brought in to help her, the emotions triggered by being sequestered in the White House, and the events which bring back her own traumatic past.
