about me

I know. It's been a long, long time since I've been here and I apologize. Here's what has happened with 5IVE SPEED.

Because of the exposure on this site and the wonderful reviews you gave it, I secured a literary agent in London. Not my first choice, because I would have preferred New York, but a reputable agent nonetheless.

She couldn't do anything with it in the UK market. All the publishers liked it, but said it was too American. So, I sought an American agent. No luck. They all loved it but couldn't pigeonhole it so they were all afraid to take it on.

For a while, I left it alone. I'm working on another novel right now. But it kept bugging me in the back of my head. I love 5IVE SPEED. I think it's a great read, and so does everyone who reads it.

I've published it on my own. I went through Amazon and it is now available for the Kindle and will be available in paperbook also through CreateSpace. I edited it massively and bares little resemblance to the book that appeared here. It's even better.

If you have already reviewed 5IVE SPEED here, I would appreciate it if you could just cut and paste your review onto the Amazon website at http://amzn.to/eNBZEt

I'm confident the people that need to read this book will find it and recommend it to others. Thanks so much for all your help and encouragement.

Charley

YA is definitely not my genre. However, I do know imagination when I see it and this story has plenty of that. It's portrayed in a very detailed way without getting bogged down in description. If I'm supposed to use my imagination, then let me use my imagination. You do, and it's much appreciated. I... view book

What an excellent book. It reads like a wonderful novel and it begs the reader to keep going. So well written. Wow. Good one. This is one I'm going to buy. Shelved. Charley "5ive Speed" view book

Hi CJ, Can't say that this is exactly my genre, but I can make a couple observations. I think the most important thing is, that you have a respect for the children you're writing to. You don't talk down to them. Children's books that rely on baby-talk irritate me. Evidently you feel the same way,... view book

A great thriller. It has all the elements of a best seller. It's quick paced, it draws you in, and it doesn't let go. The characters are believable and three-dimensional. Great job. Shelved. Charley "5ive Speed" view book

This is a nice, light read. You present it as just a bunch of people sitting around telling stories and we're at the next table listening in. I think a book like this will have a wide audience. I'm putting it on my shelf so other people can get to it as well. Charley "5ive Speed" view book
