about me

I have removed Unwanted Visitor for a rewrite. Thanks to everyone who reviewed it. I will bear your comments in mind.
Married to Paul for thirty years. Mother of three and a grandmother to 2 and another on the way. I am company secretary for Kadia Ltd, my husband's company. I love travelling, luckily my husband travels with work and I get to visit loads of places. All sources of ideas for my writing.
I have been scribbling for my own pleasure for years but now I have a little more time I have completed two novels and I am working on two more. I have also devised and written scripts for a serial.
I invite honest feedback. Of course I will be delighted if you like what I write but I won't be offended if you hate it. Tell me what I am doing wrong. Are my characters two dimensional? Do I repeat myself or include unnecessary detail. Is it believable or just plain boring? Help me bring my novel up to scratch.
Whether or not I am published in the end, I will continue to write because I enjoy it. Perhaps that is the most important thing of all.

I did read it, and I liked it. I read everything I comment on or I wouldn't be able to give my opinion. I like the idea of a new genre. view book

A riveting, often gritty story. The characters are realistic and the writing is very good. The description of the early battle scene where they use the body as a bridge over the wire is harrowing. The scene where Simon dies is heartrending. The pace is just right. view book

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. This is not my ususal preferred genre but I enjoyed this very much. An intelligent story, superb writing and a strong, disturbing opening. The character, Derek is well written and you build tension in a masterful way. The descriptions of the settin... view book

I like Scifi and I thought the descriptions in the opening were good but I wonder if the characters would be as calm as they appear in the face of certain death. The pace is good and I expect things get clearer as the story progresses. view book

The burning is an intriguing opening which hooks the reader. The pace is just right and the imagery is great. view book
