about me

If this were my resume, I would list the amount of times I've gotten English Dux.

I would point out the writing competitions I have won first and second place in.

I would count of the amount of distinctions I have received in nation wide English competitions

. I'd list all the novels I've written since I was eleven that have gained more than a thousand online followers.

If this were a dating site I would advertise myself as a girl obsessed with writing to the point where I might show nerdish tendencies. Great to talk to, but with the irritating habit of correcting misspelled words or grammar... even while talking to you face to face. A little whimsical, a little too honest and open, and by the end of the first date I'll have likely asked you which is the worst way to die. You will answer if you want to see me again. If you do not answer I'll have no further use for you.

If this were a will I would express my regret at dying before people outside the online world and my home city never getting the chance to read my story. But at the age of eighteen I guess that will won't be written for several decades. And by then maybe the content will have changed.

If this were a biography I would pompously list (In third person) Sophie's age and address and ambitions and the fact that she lives alone in the mountains with her devoted husband of three days and twenty seven daschunds and five maltese terriers. She spends her time pondering the meaning of life and the ever present philosophical question: What IS it about a microwave that makes popcorn pop? If it's going to react to the radiation, why doesn't it go all the way and explode into a million pieces, rather than a convenient chewy buttery morsel?

Will anyone ever know?

Intense writing. The character's are so well weaved, very realistic, and not to mention appealing. It's worthless trying to read a book unless a character immediately draws you in, and you, commendably, have achieved this flawlessly. The writing is gripping in a way that urges you to keep reading... view book

This immediately strikes me as nothing less than a professional piece of work. The character's voice is very convincing, and he seems immediately 3D, rather than the generic main characters many people create. I particularly like Abel's monologues; having such an observant character can definite... view book

I have to ask.. is this set in a historical time period? If so, it would explain the dialogue, but if it is set in more modern times then I would suggest reviewing the story and reading it out loud. All the 'perhaps's and 'i said nothing's make for unconvincing modern dialogue, but perfectly accepta... view book
