about me

I'm a bit of a dabbler. I dabble in this (usually art, drawing, sculpting, creating) I dabble in that (working on small crafts to sell). I spend most of my time while I am at my official job dreaming of otherworlds to wrtie about when I go home.
I love to write, and usually spend more time in my realm than in the real world.

Currently I am the proud mother of three wonderful girls, and happily married to my high school sweetheart. I am working on a degree in business and working with a writing group to fine tune some of my skills. I look forward to reading works on this site, and look forward to posting my own and sharing my realm with the rest of the world.

Just a side note, I am happy to do swap reads, and I will back books, but only once I have read at least a couple of chapters of them.

Looking for agents or publishers who are interested in my works. I have outlines for at least six other novels including a sequel for Beyond the Veil. I also have two finished children's stories (Granpoppy and the Monarchs complete at 1,826 words and The Godfather-fairy that is! complete at 1,665 words) and have outlined three others.

If you are an agent or publisher, please feel free to contact me at realmofnevermoore@hotmail.com

Beyond the Veil

Joni Chism

The lion and the unicorn were fighting for the crown, but did the lion truly beat the unicorn all about the town?

The realms of mortals and fairies are rarely meant to touch, for reality is land of mortals, and Nevermoore the make-believe world they play in. This land is known only to children, dream walkers and the deceased, as a thin invisible curtain known as The Veil separates the two worlds. But Nevermoore has fallen into peril; a dark changeling plots to murder the eldest prince upsetting the balance between the two worlds. As brother turns against brother once playful games of King of the Forest turn more sinister.
In reality a costumed woman named Lydia flees from torment. On the brink of self destruction she is sucked into Nevermoore. Led off by Fregeinn, a gnome, she is told that she is chosen to save their world. But as their quest progresses Lydia finds herself suffering with episodes of extreme pain, flashes to the world she has left behind, and visions of a mysterious man in black; leaving her to wonder if she is trapped in a dream or has ultimately died.
Will Lydia be able to overcome her pain and save the realm, or will the lines of reality and imagination become blurred and the land of Nevermoore lost forever?

Backed. You are drawn into the story even if it is not your usual genre which is a hard task to do. Great job. : ) Joni Chism Beyond the Veil view book

I love your brief synopsis, I have read the first three chapters thus far, and am enthralled. I would do away with the underlining though, it is in honesty a bit distracting. I will send you a message when I get to chapter 28/29 I would love to offer you help on it if you'll have it. Please feel fr... view book

I am only through chapter three, and I am completely enthralled. The things going on are spot on in my opinion. My only complaint was a spelling error I caught in chapter two, where there is a tis, it should have been a this. Hey happens to all of us. ; ) I can't wait to finish this one. Good luc... view book

Backed. The book is a very easy read that pulls you in. I found myself finishing Chapter 10 without feeling like I had been dredged through the mud to get there. Smooth writing and story line. view book
