about me

I'm 22, living in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire. I've got a job that I love, playing with puppies and kitties all day. I spend my free time (when I'm not writing) riding horses and playing with my dog.

Started writing novels my junior year of high school, thanks to the influence of one wonderful English teacher, and I haven't quit yet.

I write mostly romance, although the POV doesn't always fit the traditional romance. I enjoy challenging myself with what I write, picking different scenes and plots and seeing what I can do with them.

I mostly read romance as well. Also enjoy chick lit, and historical (providing it's got romance in it!).
I do enjoy the occasional fantasy read, but the supernatural isn't really my thing. (Think pretty white unicorns and handsome princes not blood sucking vampires).

I'd rather get comments than backing-- feedback is wonderful, and useful. I don't mind swapping reads, but tend to be picky about what I read.
-Please- read more than the first chapter if you're going to ask for my feedback in return...that's one thing that really bothers me-- all these people so eager to play the game and get to the top, and make a point of saying "well, I never read more than one chapter..." It just seems to defeat the purpose, you know? We're all here to be better writers...

Ashley Nicole

Reagan only wants to be happy, but after losing her daughter, it doesn't seem like she can be, no matter how far she runs.

Reagan never wanted to be a city girl. Heartbroken, and alone, she leaves New York, the place she's called home for many years. She can run from her husband, and head to a completely different world, but she can't escape the memories.

Can Reagan ever be happy in a place where she doesn’t belong? She finds the place she wants to be, but roots run deep. When her past comes calling, what choice does Reagan have?

Follow her through the lies and secrets, as she finds love and happiness in a small town.

Okay, so finished the read through! (Finally, I know!) I didn't catch many typos or mis-spellings, so congrats! You've obviously done your proofreading homework. There were a couple places where you have the comma outside the quotation marks. One was in chapter five, and I believe one was in chapt... view book

For starters, I love the beginning of each chapter (I only made it to three for now-- work time!). They really make me curious and want to read more, without being too "mysterious" like some authors try to do. They're just informative enough to really make a difference. On an aside, even though I... view book

Really enjoying this so far and looking forward to reading the rest of the chapters. You've made me laugh a few times, and other than a few (Very few!) typos, nothing major really jumped out at me. I love the descriptions, and I think they fit in quite nicely with the plot and the dialogue. I've nev... view book

I think this fifth chapter is your best-- you mix the dialogue and actions beautifully. Still a few commas missing here and there, but I think everyone is guilty of that to some degree-- I know I am. There are a few words I'm not familiar with, but you can likely blame those on me being a dumb Ame... view book

I'm enjoying the story so far, but there are a few things that jumped out at me. From what I gather, in most of the first chapter, Louise is supposed to be anxious and rushing, but I don't feel like that came across very well in the pace of the story. The descriptions are wonderful, but they move ... view book
