about me

I am calling it quits for now. I was off-site for over a month, and there's just too much catching up to do. I have enjoyed reading excerpts here, and I wish the very best to all of you,

I have entered The Witness Tree in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest and spent all of January revising the ms and working on the pitch.

One day perhaps I'll come back to this site and find new stories to read. Just no time now. Thanks to everyone who backed my book and/or commented. It was really, really helpful.

I have only had time to read seven chapters so far. This is a well-written story. No grammar mistakes that I can see. The characters are well-drawn, and the premise is intriguing. You manage to create interest enough in the reader that he/she wants to read further. I am backing and assigning st... view book

I am backing this book based on the brief reading I was able to give it tonight. The characters are well-drawn, and the dialogue rings true. The tension between Bobby and his father is nicely played out. You manage to keep the reader on Bobby's side, but with an understanding of the father's deman... view book

Ian, I am delighted by Hezekiah. What a whimsical undertaking. It is amusing and fun to read, but it also shows your familiarity with the Bible. I am backing and awarding stars based on the small portion I have had time to read tonight. I, too, have published my book through Create Space and am o... view book

Thanks for asking me to have a look. I have read only three chapters tonight - all I had time for. The first chapter is intriguing and draws the reader in from the start. Then we switch to Tom Kendel - a well-described private eye. What's interesting about this crime novel is that it doesn't beg... view book
