The name's Yang. Jackie Yang. Don't you forget it.

“Many people hear voices when no-one is there. Some of them are called mad and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day.
Others are called writers and they do pretty much the same thing.”
-Meg Chittenden

Have to agree with Meggie up there. I am a tad odd. . . .and I do spend a lot of my time staring off into space imagining what it would be like to be stuck in a high-speed car chase while trying to bend backwards out of the window to shoot someone with an AK-47.

Ahem. Pardon. I've been watching too many Bourne movies.

People always ask me what I write about. The only honest answer I can give them is this: Complete, utter nonsense that appears in my head.

I never write for a specific genre. You could call me a dabbler, I suppose. I dabble in action, romance, fantasy, humor, sci-fi - pretty much everything besides nonfiction.

Oh, I also have a queer preference for Mini Coopers. But that is absolutely irrelevant.

I also have an obsession with Moleskines, which I have gotten my friends hooked on, as they will happily tell you. I think the world would be a better place if we all used feather quills and ink pens and wrote pretty, tactful, letters in script like they did in Jane Austen's time. I'd give anything to live as Elizabeth Bennet for a day, and Emma Thompson is my idol.

I drink my coffee black in the mornings. In the afternoons, I can appreciate a nice Mocha Frappucino or a Caramel Macchiato. I think the Chinese tube is ten times better and cleaner than the New York tube, and I like watching CSI on Fridays. Gulu Gulu needs to expand to the States- no one can make slushies as smooth and rich as theirs. Directing is my passion, which I pursue to no avail along with my partner in crime Filmgirl1228, whose bona fide shall remain concealed due to the fact that she is the common target of Mexican gangsters. (No offense to any peaceful amigas!)

Chopin is chocolate for the fingers, and Star Wars is overrated, even though Hayden Christensen is amazing eye-candy. Suzanne Collins is a visionary and I would sell my soul for the film rights to The Hunger Games. Chris Columbus botched up Percy Jackson completely, but I am eternally grateful for him casting Logan Lerman. J.K. Rowling deserves a Nobel Prize for Literature, as her work is pure genius. Amy Tan is the Ang Lee of her field. Meryl Streep is not one person but a hundred bound together in one body.

Helen Mirren stuns me with her amazing grace and charisma. Catherine-Zeta Jones is quite something, and A Little Night Music was a naughty little musical. For Good and Defying Gravity send chills down my back. I'm absolutely sick of Thirteen, for reasons two of my friends are very much aware of. Tom Hanks is a true gift given to Hollywood. Julie Andrews is an angel who really did descend from the skies with an umbrella. Rogers and Hammerstein didn't know that they were going to make the best musical in the world when they filmed The Sound of Music. The Hurt Locker deserved the Best Picture over Avatar any day, though I have to say, J.C. did a rather snazzy job.

Show Choir is love and chaos. Writing songs gives me a headache when I hit a dead end. Piano theory is living hell. I can't separate dominant or diminished sevenths to save my life. I listen to songs not based on the genre or band, but based on how good of a movie soundtrack it'd make. If I could, I'd move either to Switzerland or Central Park, which is Eden in the middle of Chaos.

I have the best friends in the world. They'll compose scores, jump ditches, climb trees, sing songs, and play guitars for me. I must have been a saint in my other life to deserve these guys.

My life's dream is to climb Everest, even though in my physical condition I probably couldn't even summit Half-Blood Hill. Which is pretty funny, because I happen to be a secret underage spy - like Alex Rider. I also have completely persuaded myself that I am British, since I love tea and crumpets and Harry Potter and all.

Oi, have you lot listened to a song called "a drop in the ocean"? It's rather good.

What are my favorites of everything? I shall list them right here. Prepare, the lists are rather long. A few of them aren't nessecarily favorites, but I'll put them anyways.

I'm sorry, I'm rubbish at reviews. All I can tell you is that I'm completely blown away. Your writing arouses just the right quantity of fear, suspicion, and slight amusement in the reader. I shall check out your website. Over and out, FreshPress view book
