I have worked as an Executive Assistant for the past 10 years. I received my B A in English from the University of Illinois in 1996. I enjoy painting, drawing, singing, genealogy and of course writing.

Over the course of my life, I never considered becoming a novelist, until Josephine started talking to me. It began with my painting (1992), Epiphany's birth, depicting a woman in a flower, just opened, as the light of God shines down on her. Then in 1997, I completed a drawing of Lela before her bed. For many years I believed the woman to be Josephine. A few days ago, I recognized the eyes as belonging to Lela. I always wondered why they were so sad.

In any case, Josephine finally convinced me to dedicate myself to writing the novel. It is strange... Josephine is the bugler. Once she captured my attention, they all clamored to tell me their stories. Now, they all have given me so much that I can write about the Chevalier's and their acquaintances for the next 10 years. These spirits have truly become my life.
