about me

I've been called Tex, Textie, T, Ms. Ribbons, TR, Sexual Gibbons, Jaz, Jasica, and probably a lot of other names by various authonomites. Pick one, and stick with it, or just call me Jasmine, which I prefer.

Don't have much to say about myself. Like most people on this site, I like to write. I do it both for personal enjoyment and professionally as well. Other than that, I'm a college student, cat lover, chocoholic, and closet Star Trek fan. And for the most part, I'm a fairly decent sort. But then, everyone thinks that about themselves, don't they?

The book I have up right now, Maserati, is a pulp-fiction/thriller type novel. The pace is meant to be fast, the story dark, and the action screen-worthy. Whether or not that's true is another story entirely. But you're welcome to have a look if it tickles your fancy.

I don't accept friend requests from people I have never spoken to, and I'm not sure why you would want to send me one if you haven't spoken to me, but people do. If you want to be friends, take some time to get to know me, eh?

I can be contacted at jazzywaltz1@gmail.com

She thought killing Tony Valentino would solve her problems. But murder has a nasty way of biting back.

Meet Dani. On the outside: spoiled, rich-bitch mafia daughter. On the inside... well, perhaps it's better left unsaid. Tired of the sordid life she's been forced to lead, she murders the head of the Valentino Crime Family, changes her name, and runs off with his favorite car.

But a new identity and a haircut aren't enough to buy a ticket for her freedom. In order to survive the assassins and thugs after her, Dani will have to use every weapon in her mental and physical arsenal if she wants to survive.

Fortunately, as the daughter of a man who deals in drugs and murder, she has a lot at her disposal. But then, this IS the mafia we're talking about, and they're not so concerned about whether or not she comes back dead or alive. Pesky things like murdering the boss and burning his right-hand man to a crisp tends to foster that kind of attitude.

Really, what's a girl to do?

Christ. I get to be the first commenter? No pressure. Anyway, I know you're looking for feedback and usually I don't provide detailed crits on autho because it's incredibly tedious without the copy paste feature. But I know you're self-pubbing this and I've seen so many self-pubbed books go out ... view book

I've really nothing constructive to say except perhaps that there's a few typos you could fix-- and by few I mean nearly nonexistent. This is really good. The opening scene is fantastic and evokes all the right emotions and curiosity to keep the reader turning. We already hate Mr. Oates and sympathi... view book

Hi Dave, As promised, I'm checking our your book. I've read a few chapters and I've found your writing very impressive. You use some very interesting phrases, and definitely aren't the type who relies on cliches (READ: ME). It seems as though I should possibly get lost in your characters rambling... view book

Hi Jet, Came over for a read, as promised since your log line passed muster. Hard sci-fi isn't my thing-- I can appreciate the sheer amount of genius and creativity put into it but at the same time I don't have a very scientific mind and so it's hard to get into it. Mainly my problem is that y... view book

This is fucking crazy. In a totally awesome way, of course. I'm in love with the concept, and this is written so well-- the first few chapters probably should've been boring, but they really weren't. Even though you tell first chunk of story from the perspective of the director and the assistant, we... view book
