Helen Riley embarks on an emotional jounery revisiting her tragic past of lost love and the person she truly is.
Have you ever wondered what might have been if life had taken another direction?
Helen Riley, the uptight thirty-three year old boss nobody ever wants to rub up the wrong way. To the world she has it all, the flash Audi soft top sports car and the most handsome guy on the planet, the adorable Irishman Mark who is both charming and thoughtful.
But something is not right.
The fact Helen doesn’t truly love him has much to do with it. Her heart has always belonged to James Davis, her boyfriend during the late 90’s and, to date, the love of her life. James was brutally stabbed at their graduation ball and died in her arms, leaving her with emotional scars that still to this day cloud any relationship she has.
After his death her life fell apart and nothing made sense. She ran away from London and started a new life in Skegness, as the resort manager. There she remains emotionally shut down until Mark proposes. She realises that in order to move on with her life she needs to find closure, so she ventures back to London to finally lay old ghosts to rest.
