Maurice Dupree, a writer looking for an easy story, finds himself inside a modern day internment camp and labeled a threat to American society.
Maurice Dupree is apathetic towards politics, doesn't give a damn about ethics and lives the life of a playboy but that all comes to end after an industrial accident is labeled a terrorist threat. Realizing he's found his perfect story behind the bars of a modern day internment camp, Maurice meets Emily, a staunch conservative who has willingly entered the camp to "root out the real terrorists from the hard working Americans."
Soon Maurice finds himself in a pickle as he must choose to live under military regime or to fight against the machine in this satirical look at apathy in modern American society.
