about me

Rock and roll chick, mother, granny, toured Europe, lived in Germany for five years through the Cold War, and in Belgium for seven, through glasnost and the Wall coming down. Now resident in England, starving in a garret for my art (oh well, all right, in a semi) and determined to make it as a professional writer before I'm too old to enjoy it.

Also write for and design websites and edit a monthly sixteen page magazine with a circulation of around 400. It keeps the pennies rolling in.

Thanks to everyone who has written kind things about The Fireghost and for the support of all who are enjoying it. NEW UPDATED VERSION ONLINE NOW!

'What right have I to happiness?' demanded Rudolf. 'My whole life is a lie.'

World War Two, a nation collapsing in on itself. As the modern city of Berlin dissolves into ruin, the need to survive dictates the colours of allegiance. Rudolf Klausener, dissident Nazi, must choose between his past and the Golden Salamanders, fighters against Nazism, knowing that the wrong choice will end in his annihilation.

But the Golden Salamanders are financed through a stolen Nazi fund and treachery and betrayal face them at every turn. Only Rudolf can prevent his former comrades from getting that money back and destroying the Golden Salamanders for good.

But Rudolf’s main concern is the safety of those he loves. Who can he trust? His close friend Josef Jünger, who calls himself the Fireghost and runs the Golden Salamanders with ruthless efficiency, or his sadistic former CO Hesel, who is prepared to destroy everything in his path to get the money back?

Can Rudolf survive and find the traitor, save himself, his family and the Golden Salamanders and discover the truth about his mysterious brother Thomas?

I really enjoyed this and can't wait to see how it ends. It deserves to be published and I'm giving it my backing. Best of luck with it, Ali Headeach, The Fireghost view book

Gosh, looking at one or two of the comments below, I thought them a bit over the top. I enjoyed this immensely. I thought your descriptions were evocative and interesting, and I had no problem visualising the setting. I also liked the contrasting characters and the way the story has begun to pan out... view book

This is still on my bookshelf, while I sit here with my tongue hanging out waiting to see what's coming next. I don't want to nag, but I want to know! Ali - The Fireghost view book

Strong, convincing writing. I wish I had time to read to the end. I was in with Sloan right from the beginning, and your pitch made me read in the first place. Congratulations, best of luck with this, backed, with pleasure. Ali, The Fireghost view book
